IS this normal...

i have a buddy here at school. his truck is a 96 5 speed witha south bend clutch. He noticed since last summer he had a little bit more lag than normal. his truck is stock except a 5 plate full forward and timing at 16.5 degrees.

To me it feels normal, but he said the truck never dd it before and its not running like it used to. in my eyes the truck hauls a**...

any ideas...

He's probably just gotten so used to the power that it is not exciting anymore. Tell him to do some more bombs.

my bet is euther fuel filter or prefilter clogged or hes goet a pinhole in one of this lines casuing the f/p to drop..... park it running and check for any lil puddles

he said he has changed the filters, done the prefilter, and everything. he has a new lift pump o the way i think, with new lines....

truck has 200k+ on it... hmmm... think it could be the timing slipped? but we will go over the lines (rubber ones that go to lift pump right?)

you often wont be able to see the fuel lines leaking (they may get wet though). the pinhole leaks can suck air and not release much, if any fuel.

well i think he may have the lines and lift pump... when we go down to his farm next we can barn up the truck and go to town
