Any of you guys running BIO, I'm looking for a station that has it. Masspike 495 down to say 95 area, An what price are you paying.

I used a bunch last summer, it was more expensive than regular diesel (by almost 30cents).

There is nothing that I know of. Closest place to us that has bio is TH Malloy 106 Scott Rd in Cumberland, RI but I haven't had a chance to go check them out yet. Would of thought there would be more places around here???

There is a place on Great Rd. in Acton, convienent to both rte 2 and 495. Offers B100 on down.

There's also a place in Chelsea. The link that Art posted lists both of these.

Yeah Burke in Chelsea has B20.

Is the Bio Diesel any cheaper than Reg. Diesel? Cumberland is only a couple towns over from me. I would be interested to see how well it does milage wise, and cost wise...

It's almost always more expensive. I haven't checked recently but what can be the difference between 3.94 and 4.10? :wtf2:

OUCH....Those prices are not cheap.You think it would be priced better to get people to use it. Ok I guess I won't be using that.

I used is last summer on a trip out to western WI. Was priced from 10 cents above to 6 cents less than regular diesel and my truck ran much better. I'd buy it around here if it was close in price to #2.

Did you have to change your fuel filter soon after? I've read it will loosen any crud in the tank and line. I'd like to run a tank of B10 or 20 before changing my filter.

Nope - no junk was in my fuel system so all was good. :smokin:

The only time my truck has had bio in it was when I had to fill it up to bring it home from vermont. I've been reading about not running anything over B20 as it will dissolve the glue holding the fuel filters together. The hoses and seals in my regulated return fuel system are rated for B100, but Dennis explicitly says the filters will dissolve with anything more than B20 in the system.

The teachers at mass maritime were buying B100 in falmouth for us to use in lab since its non toxic if (when) you get it on your hands, but oh man you should have seen what it did to the rubber fuel hoses, turned them into stretchy rubbery goo.
