i noticed that when i have overdrive diengaged around town and the truck is winding at 1700-2000rpms i have been losing oil pressure. also on the highway the same thing with overdrive on...
any ideas??? fresh oil change with filter, level is perfect...
first time it happends was in buffalo NY driving to boston ma...

I would pick up a new pressure sending unit. They have been known to give false readings...
thats a good idea, also just how low does it go?

Ditto on the above,but i would put a manual temporay guage on first,and take a short drive,to confirm your getting adequete oil pressure,these engines arre too expensive to take a chance with.BTW ,you are using an "approved" oil filter right?

the filter is a WIX, and barely leaves the "safe zone", i put a manual gauge on it and the reading was at 80psi!
