Hi everyone, It's that time of year again.
We finally made up our minds that we are going to do the open house this year. It wont be easy for us, but we have had a lot of inquiries and we think there is a bunch of people that look forward to it. So it's gonna happen.
We dont have the huge yard that we had at our old shop but we will make room for everyone.
The dates will be 6/7 and 6/8. check www.northeastperformancediesel.com for info.

Thank You everyone for your support during our time of need,
Ben:woohoo:

its more of a trial and error thing.....im not by any means doug but heres one of the best tips anyone will ever give you. it helped me out a lot, let off the brake on the last yellow light on the tree and by the time you start to move the light should be green. :HoleShotHolset:

The most important thing to remember is that your time doesn't start until you leave the line (break the staging beams). The only thing your launch affects is your reaction time, which has no effect on your ET.

Bottom line is...if your racing just to get your time, reaction time means nothing. If your racing to beat the guy next to you, then you have to leave on the last yellow light. :11secondDoug:

Getting spooled on the line will be the toughest thing to learn I think. Only thing I have dragraced was my 06 and that has no fuel so a little brake stand and shes lit!

From what I see on track days pull up til the 1st staging lite is lit, get spooled and once spooled creep up to trip the second staging lite comes on, wait for the countdown and give it hell:woohoo:

another helpfull tip is to let the other person stage first. That way once your spooled and staged the lights start.

Basic safety equipment like boots, pants, helmet, longsleeve shirt, etc?

im pretty sure just pants and a helmet are all you need, i could be wrong. i had no long sleeve shirts on when i used to go to ned on a weekly basis. just tell them you think your gonna run 14.50 or something and you'll get a tech card.

wisslin6oh
06-03-2008, 04:12 PM
its been a while since ive been, but last i knew, a helmet was required under 14 secs. there was something else required but i dont think long sleeves were. full leathers and boots only required for bikes i believe
tried looking into their website, but it seems to not want to work at the moment

onewhl750
06-03-2008, 05:34 PM
Helmets were only required if running under 14 secs. Seatbelts must work and be used. I didn't see anything about long sleeves, or pants. Long pants, boots, leather jacket, gloves and helmet were required for bikes.

well he put in a lowering kit that puts the truck lower than a stock 2wd truck, yet hes still running 4wd. no cage yet, and no twins just yet either.
