Hovey is supposedly going to be there with his pro street truck. Also from reading some various forums a few 11 sec trucks should be there as well.

i run quicker than 11's in the 1/8th mile its more like a mid 10's truck in the 1/8th very consistent especially with 2.32 '60 times :smilielol: thats what an open diff will get you with a recently baked off back tire. :smilielol: i actually one my first race. which was my run out of the 3 i made, i launched at 1800 so very little boost, and my tire didn't spin on that run.

sorry next time i'll bring my work lights so theres no darkness or maybe i'll just rent a portable light with a generator on its trailer from united rentals to light up the street so the videos are better, can't help the smokey looking video's thats what i was recording or jim was recording in some cases.

just checked the weather for great meadows,nj and the weather is,mostly sunny until 1pm then it changes to partly cloudy should be mid 80's most of the time.

Well boys all I could squeak out of "ol blackie" was 13.1@101 today in the 94° heat.

I decided to say T-heck with being conservative with my fuel plate setting, slid it from all the way back, to full forward to sneak into the 12's and wouldnt ya now I redlighted and at that time my runs were over since I was in eliminations at that point.

So onto the next event, or maybe a test+tune up with the big dogs in Epping. Figure this week the SX2D should be installed, getting the chargers to light today was comical at best. :nutkick:

Anyways, DCreed came in with a 2nd place in the Pro-2 bracket division, congrats are in order for Carl. :HoleShotHolset:

Traffic was Typical hell coming out of NJ into the approach of the Tappan zee. Those signs on the approach to the bridge that say "Life is worth living, call our helpline 1800 XXX XXXX really makes ya think, especially if you had to do that to earn a living on a daily basis. :wtf2:

I believe next NHRDA Race event for up this way is Aug 9th at lebanon valley in NY. Keep your eyes peeled (ouch) for the next post with banter included at no extra charge concerning that event.

Good to hear, Jim. Yea, it was hot today, not the best conditions for making big power and speed. Looking forward to see some pics / vids of the event if at all possible.

Yep 12's on fuel are a definite with cooler weather and sliding the #5 plate (which I am currently running) forward.

I didnt see more then 1400° EGT+60lbs boost in the 1/4 with the H20/meth on.

This was with the 181 D/V's I picked up from Mo Smoke.

The little voices I was hearing in my head were the laser cuts sitting in the center console the whole time :smiley35: :smilielol:
