What size dowels are you using to hold up the lifters? Thanks fellas:HoleShotHolset:
1/2" dowels, cut them about 12" long if your head is on the engine. Use a grinder or sander to slightly taper the end that will go into the tappet. Make sure your centered in the tappet before tapping in the dowel with a small hammer or equivalent.
