4th annual (Unofficial) N.E.P.A. Chapter Fall Time Meet n’ Greet.

November 23, 2008 @ Noon

Ok everyone seeing how winter is almost upon here in the Northeast part of the U.S. we thought (I talked it over with DTroy Tony) that now would be as good of a time as ever to have our annual Fall meet n’ greet up here in beautiful N.E.P.A. so we could all get together and shoot the proverbial crap and have lunch and whatnot and maybe even hit a local casino right down the road (Sorry Abby NO PETS ALOWED).

Im going to say that the time 12 noon and the location will be the Petro Truck Stops - Location Information - Iron Skillet, Petro:Lube, Travel Stores, Mobil Delvac, Truck Tires, PM Services, Diesel, CAT Scales, Blue Beacon Truck Washes (http://www.petrotruckstops.com/location_detail.sstg?id=57) as it has been for the past few events we have had. Lots of parking and good food for everyone.

I will make a phone call to the manager Peter down there and we can get the back room all to ourselves and we can just order off the menu like we always do.

Im going to try to put together a list so I have a number to give to the Peter @ The Petro so then know how many to expect. So let me know if you’re going to be there even if you are tentative let me know with a yes anyway.

The two things that I ask of everyone is one, try to bring a friend to see what this sickness is all about. And two treat the property at the Petro with respect because we are guests of theirs and we want to be welcome back.

This show isn’t only for diesel trucks, but everyone is welcome to bring whatever they drive and come have fun for a few hours.
So we hope to see you all there.

Rob

Here is a good gauge for you. It takes me 2 1/2 hrs to get to your garage from my house. The Petro is aprox. 15 min. south of my house.

Update:

I spoke to the manager of the Petro, the back room we were in last time has laready been booked so we will be in the next area that used to be the smoking area. He said he will reserve that area for us to use.

Hey Everyone, Well now that im defrosted from Sunday’s GTG I thought id post. First of all you prob. all noticed that The Dakota was not there, yes I went to start it in the morning and it was dead. I had forgotten to put the battery tender on the night before and I didn’t feel like jumping it so I got there in the 03.
Anyway I wanted to thank everyone that attended the NEPA Fall meet n’ greet (or the winter freeze out as Hammer would call it). It seemed to be a good turnout of 18 trucks and about 35 people. I saw some new face and some that I had seen before. The weather was a brisk temp. of about 28 deg but the wind and snow seemed to hold off unless you were coming over the mountain coming from the south and the sun managed to poke its way thru for the afternoon which warmed it up to 29 degrees. For some reason it seemed to be much colder in my truck even though it was running. I would have sworn I turned that heat on before I got out of the truck. (Know anything about that Mike), he thinks he is funny turning on my A/C, don’t worry payback will come some day so be on the lookout.
I had some discussions with Tony (Dtroy) about a BIG springtime party. We are thinking of Knoebel’s amusement park. Which I don’t know about cuz there is no alcohol allowed there but we will see. Maybe we can look at booking a local picnic grove for a Saturday or Sunday, their will obviously be some cost involved.
Anyway thanks again to everyone that attended, and I hope you all have a Happy Turkey day and if I don’t see you, have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. We will hopefully see you all again in the spring.

Rob
