what are some good shops to take our trucks i need to have some wierd noises looked at and try to get them fixed but have no idea where i should take the truck

yeah and then it make another noise in 6th gear on the highway its like a metal grinding noise but i dont drive it that much now cause i dont know what the noise is so i dont want to break it if i keep driving it around i will be down for coffee night friday if you want to go for a ride

Well, i'm not exactly sure where ansonia is, but my brother works for mitchell volvo in simsbury. They got a dodge dealer next door. Thats where I go, get a discount lol, but they're pretty good with things. Had them do my fass, cuz I didn't wanna drop the tank! haha

I had that squeel @ 85 mph today on the way home today
sounded like the tensioner pully locked up or something:wtf2:
other then noble in wolcott I cant think of anyone too local to you Bill.

its sounds like something is like scraping against something but not sure what like maybe a dust shield or skid plate but check underneath and could see anything loose I checked my front shaft and it moves back and forth a lil not sure how to check u joints If anyone wants to take a look at it friday I will be there.

Jim found/fixed it yesterday for him.
didnt fix it, just looked around and noticed alot of slop in the carrier.

yeah I am pissed about that carrier bearing just had that replaced not even 5 months ago I am gona bring it to the shop this week and have all the noises taken care of so I can drive it normally and start to buy more go go parts.

yeah I dont have a carrier bearing drop bracket on it and maybe cause of the driveline angle so i am gona have to install one of those to drop the angle of the driveshaft down

my carrier is tight & intact...
HOWEVER my serp belt which is NEW 3-4 months old
has serious scrapes on the flat side
maybe I found my missing barn cat (something got caught up in it or one of the pullys stopped for a short time...:wtf2:

being fixed now the noise was some shield on the driveshaft that was loose or hanging off so that is being fixed and a carrier bearing drop bracket is being installed tommorrow hopefully will have it back sometime this week
