Why ? :dunno: You can run 3 time trials, then race, and then after you are eliminated go to "Run Only." You may win some $$.00 if you can be consistent. :woohoo:

well i have never had my 4x4 at the track, nor have i launched it in 4wd, so im not sure how its gonna run, on the street the truck runs very strong. but those are two different things. i'll bracket race it later in the year if things work out for me, but not at this early.

I may not run him at all as he will be in t&t and I will be in a NHRDA class. maybe in warm-ups but I will be running lower than full-out to get a consistent dial-in. Should be a cool event though as lots of interest locally and most guys have stepped it up this year.:exactly:

Nah. I think hes as curious as anybody to know what it can do. It may take a couple runs to dial in but he'll prolly run it as hard as he can.

yes he can still run as hard as he wants, but no times, is when you tell the announcer to turn the displays off for when you run, so that way anyone watching can't see what you ran, but you still get your timeslip at the end of the track.

11's by lebanon??? where did i say this? i may have said by july 18th if things go as planned and i didn't plan on having to put bearings in my differential. That will be the reason im not racing this time. but if the weather is nice,i could be working enough and have the truck ready by the 18th of april.

I want to see what those big horsepower numbers will run in the 1/4mile. :omg::poke:

big horsepower numbers??? I wanna know too, maybe after i get some new bearings in my differential we will find out. but the truck has been on a scale and dynoed so i have some rough estimates of what it might do.

nothing yet. i'm hoping to pick something up along the lines of a used gsxr750/1000 or 08 left over, around the end of june/july preferably from a dealer, so i don't have to come up with all the money in full if you know what i mean.

You told me at the last coffee night i was at 11'd at lebanon also said youd se 60 lbs of boost on your hx35 :97DodgeCTD:

i did see 60lbs of boost out of my hx35 once with the boost elbow all the way closed, and my wastegate has been out of order for over a year now,but knowing how bad that is i didn't exactly want to ever see that much pressure out of my little hx so i backed out the boost elbow and it was at 55psi which it saw almost daily, now its backed out a little more to 45psi which is where its been set at for a few months now.

ding, ding, ding we have a winner! if your head is ported and you have more airflow, you will have less pressure, and lower boost numbers. now put more restriction on that same area and the psi should go up. and my truck may be up and running for the 18th, gotta get some new bearings and a pinion seal put in the rear differential and rebuild the front and rear driveshaft, and work still hasn't started yet so im not working full time, but last year i didn't start working until the 14th so its nothing new.

also here's something for you guys to laugh about....and nicks truck and my truck are very similar except his truck is a few hundred lbs heavier and he has 265/65/r16 and i have 285/75/r16. and he has a s468, but im not worried about that part.

you know now that I think about it you could be correct, at first I thought it was twinned, as it didnt have the typical 12v rattle, either way it ran good.

I would just throw some nice traction bars on it and see what that does for the truck and then maybe look into some tires such as a nitto terra grappler which i've heard are the stickest all terrain tires out there. or straight up drag radials for the track.

Traction bars don't make up for worn tires and lots of power, plenty of trucks hook with out em, that's why you have 4wd:exactly:

A pipe and suspension drop along with his other bolt ons is not stock, also plenty of R1000s are in the 9s.

I think the Dmax was in the wrong class. The super stock class is for street driven trucks that "haul the race trailer and roll onto the track for 12sec. passes." not those that arrive IN a trailer and are fully race prepped. He should've run in a pro class. I think the 3rd gen that was in that class is a good example of what that class is for. :stirthepot:

As of last year when it ran sub 11.50 it was still daily driven. Come to bens dyno day I am willing to bet he will drive it there. He also use to drive the truck to ned as long as his freind brought the trailer with his truck just in case it did blow up. Jay has had a rough time with that truck something like 5-6 engines and an equal amount of transmissions thru it. (He was using ats :stirthepot:) With that track record would you drive it to the track carl when its over a couple hour tow home????????
