View Full Version : how much does your blow by tube smoke?

I have noticed more lately the amount of smoke from my breather tube. I dont get a lot of oil, just lots of smoke. At night when I stop I can see it in the headlights. I dont remember seeing another one like that.
I guess Ill put a magnahelic gauge on it too.

Oh yeah mine does it too big time! My tube exits out under thr transfer case andconvieniently whafts up into the cab when the door is opened.

mine seems to be doing it more since I changed the turbo, or maybe because its warm out

a bad vacuum pump can pressurize the crankcase.. Id check that.

Rebuilt mine with the updated seal lit. Pain in the ass but its done :woohoo:

Yes it is a pain,just did one on a friends truck myself,not looking forward to doing mine when the time comes....

mine hasnt been smoking alot but leaving a drip of oil overnight that it never used to

I should say it was about 3 seconds for Jim to plug the vacuum tube I somehow pulled out back in
