i just installed my clutch today but quit wrenching because i couldnt get the crossmember that holds the trans in the frame. does anybody know any tips/tricks for getting it back inbetween the frame rails? it seems like its about an inch wider than the inside of the frame. i had to fight it to get it dropped so i cant image how it will go back? am i doing something wrong?:duh: :wtf2: :smiley35:
Spread the frame with a jack or porta-power. That be the only way short of beating it with a sledge hammer:nono:

The frame is a stressed member on these trucks. The frame needs to be spread for removal and moreso installation! Careful tho take your time on reinstall as the bolt holes may not lighn up right while the frame is in tweak mode. And even still with a porta power the member may need pursuasion.
