Some people do ring the block, but the head will work as good. My uncle used to do his own years ago on big block chevys. The only other thing that comes to mind is PDR.:dunno: Is butler the one that does Coreys work?? I would have assumed he has had a bunch done for customers. Maybe he buys the heads with the work already done.

Corey grew up here in my town. His parents still live here. He has always been good to me. He can make some serious power too. He is the tuner that worked on the truck that went to new hampshire this spring and ran 1000 horsepower.:smokin:

firerings, you can split the difference in protrusion between the head and the block like marks, or you can do just the head like warpigs. Only benefit I see to doing both is by doing just the head you will probably have a wear mark on the block from the ring where if you had both done on a second go round it would end up sealing better.
Also the block that came with my 01 had orings machined into it. Guess if you ever need to pull the head again and have it machined its one less thing you would have to pay to do over again.

I know Corey quite well and he is a stand up guy. Actually all the guys at DFS are really nice and helpful.
