Anyone on here running 18s with 285-305 tires on a Chevy or Dodge?? Reason I ask is on Chevys clearance is a big issue and I need a starting point. The truck is lowered about 2" which actually helps on the clearance. With so many options in tire size and offset of the rim it seems like I just need to try a combo on the truck and see how it fits and go from there. I know I want 18" rims and the tallest I can go about 32.5". Any help would be great.

Check out the Diesel Place, however if im not mistaken you cant go any bigger than a 305/70 on a stock hieght D-Max, also depending on rim off set youll probably have to trim the plastic liner, my bud is putting on 20s with a 325 and he had to lift the front 3 inches and trim the plastic, good luck, got any pics of the truck? from the sig it sounds nice.

My friend has 18" on his Chevy Silverado but the tires are loooow profile and wide. Better clearance than the big 16" he had on before.

I've spent days on the DieselPlace but few people lower these trucks. Also the truck has an aftermarket lower valance and Bushwacker flares which affect the clearance.

We tried a set of 305/50/20 with 20x10 rims and -12 backspacing and they were a little to big. That's part of the reason for the 18x9 with +18 spacing. From what me and my buddy (whose truck it is) have read those should be the right rim. Now as far as the tire it's between a 285 and 305 and 55-65 series.

FWIW, I used to run 285/65/18 BFG AT's on 18" Eagle 114 chrome wheels.

cranked the torsion bars, cut a little bit of the front air dam and they never rubbed, they should fit fine on a dodge
