TPS on a 02 Jeep Grand cherokee

TPS on my sisters Jeep is throwing a code. (Nice to see the 3 on 3 off key trick works on the jeeps also!) Anyone ever do one or even know where it would be located?

Check right on the side of the throttle body, Jim. That would be my guess but I'm not sure. I think we have a Jeep at work right now with the 4L in it, If I don't have a brain fart I'll check the location for you tomorrow.

Thank you Dave that would be killer. The part will be here in 3 days got it from autozone for 75 bucks. The dummy running the scan tool said there were 2 codes, and the display said 1 of 2. the one that showed was for the po122 TPS. He said i would have to go to a dealer to have the 2nd one read:duh: I didnt have the heart to tell him to press the arrow key so we could see the next one. Anyway thats when I tried the key trick and the second on pretty much told me the gas cap has a vaccum leak:nutkick:

Ahh yes, the old Evap code. You have no idea how many cars we get in at work with "EVAP System Large Leak", and its just the gas cap

Yeah Jim check on the back side of the throttle body. I looked at one today and I think its a TPS. Probally aught to just match up the new part just to make sure. D/C usually puts its TPS on the opposite side of where the throttle cables hook on the throttle body.

So many damn sensors.... thats what I love about the 12 valver, the complete lack of a computer controlled fuel injection/emissions system :woohoo:
