2nd Gen Heater Control ?'s / Problems

On the way home from SeeFood with my pops ... I turned th eheater control knob on his truck from hot to cold.. I thought I heard a pop noise...any way now the truck is stuck on full heat all the time...argh.. I Checked a little bit in the 2002 service manual and it looks pretty complicated to mess with any one have any experiance or issued with that?
Truck is a 2002 SLT with a/c...

I believe there's a cable that switches the door from hot to cold, and it may have popped off. Dodge dashes are fairly easy to take apart, just look behind and see what the back of the switch looks like. Also could have happened down inside the dash on the hot/cold door.

i had that problem with my 97. i had the unfortunate experience of having mine stuck on COLD and it was winter time..... not kool.....

i had to tip the dash back, and i found that the cable for the heat door hhad a popped out of a lil holder.... well i just gobbed some rtv on the little hook and dropped it back down into its holder and put the dash back together.
