Did one on an 06 tonight due to a shifting problem with the trans. The trans would not downshift when trying to accelerate getting on the highway for example. the pressure solenoids are notorious for getting plugged up with fine material from inside the transmission. Suncoast has come up with a design out of a GM trans to make this part more reliable. Seemed to work good, and wont be as sensitive to the dirt in the trans fluid like the dodge ones are.
very easy install too, comes with great directions.:HoleShotHolset:
New Chrysler 618RE Governor Pressure Conversion Upgrade Kit
Part No. 618-GK
Price: $139.00

This kit was specifically designed to improve the reliability of the governor solenoid in normal use and to handle higher base pressure in high performance application. This unit will fit both early and late style. We recommend you also install a new Governor Pressure Sensor/Transducer with this kit.

This kit in testing was found to be extremely reliable in every situation. Contamination metal, fiber, clutch material does not phase the RE conversion kit.

Parts included in this kit:
• Manifold is made of 6061T6 Billet Aluminum
• New Borg Warner Solenoid
• 1/4 20 Grade 5 bolts (4)
• Viton O-Rings (3)
• Gasket
• Cap screws (3)
• Set screw
• Delphi/Packard connectors
• Bracket for Solenoid and Governor sensor

Might as well replace the transducer while you are in there also, it's right next to the solenoid.

The other good thing about the conversion piece is it's thicker so it doesn't warp when you floor it. I just got mine and the other trans parts today. I only paid $137 for it! :poke:

PATC in louisianna. I spent $659 with them for my trans parts. They made 1 screw up, I ordered the kit which is the solenoids and the pressure/temp sender. They dropped a letter of the part # and didn't send the sender. I called and they said they'd send it right away. I got it today, more solenoids, no sender. I called, told the woman what's up, and give her the part # of what I need. She says it will be out today Priority mail. I asked her if she wanted the solenoids back, she said keep 'em. So I get extra 'noids and the sender for free. :smokin:
I just hope it gets here by friday, I'm putting the trans in this weekend. :exactly:
They have tons of stuff, all brands.

Well, I give up on those idiots! I got the sender today, and it's the wrong one! It's for an 01 and up trans. I didn't even bother to call, I went to the dealer and spent $125 on the right one. Of course, my converter never showed up, so I can't put the trans in anyways. That's a whole other sob story. :nutkick:
