The blue chip pump cover works well, It allows you to tap the pump wire directly at the pump indescretely instead of using butt connectors or other cheesy methods of tapping in on the wiring harness. If you sell the truck or bring your vehicle or pump in for warr purposes you can simply put the stock pump cover back on, no one will know you tapped in unless you really know what to look for.

If you choose, you can leave the lead wire for the pump out of the equation.

I have installed several. They take 5 mins and are straight forward. all you need is a torx bit t-20 i believe off the top of my head but dont hold me to it. Sometimes they are 5 star tamper proof. Just unbolt your stock cover and place the blue chip on and bolt up. The pump wire is tapped by a sharp metal point that goes into the pump wire. Simply connect your pump wire with an eyelet connector and bolt onto the blue chip cover. done.
