Ok guys, I'm back, unfortunately it's because i have a a a slight problem.
This morning, my trans temp gauge started going crazy. It seemed to be when I push the go pedal. The gauge will peg to the high side, then as I let off of it, will come down some, but still reading high IMO (165-170). This truck in august pulling 28" G/N on the interstate usually only sees 175 or so. I'm running empty now. Trans fluid is down on the low side of safe marks, and will add a qt when I get home, sender is in pan (Mag-htec deep).
Any thoughts???TMTT

I got the isspro EV white faced gauge set about 4 years ago from Diesel manor. I'm thinking ther may be a short to ground somewhere near the trans that is shorting when thing flex a little bit, I dunno:dunno:

yea that could be it mine ended up grounding out in the guage pod and it would pin itself (dash pods suck)

they are on the dash, and it does rattle a little bit, so maybe I'll check for external shorts after christmas, and if I can't find an issue, I'll see if I can duplicate the problem on the bench(read---tailgate) and replace the gauge if necessary. I have had a few dealings with Dieselmanor, and they have been great, but I wouldn't expect them to warranty a 4 year old gauge if it is bad. thanks for the replies/suggestions. Maybe I'll find time to post more instead of just lurking so much.
Merry Christmas to all.:smokin:

What is the "Normal" and "High" operating temps...Mine will get to 190 climbing hills empty...easy plowin will reach 210-220 sometimes...sensor is in the cooler line...Idiot light doesn't come on. :97DodgeCTD: ..Isspro guages from DM..When it get to the 220ish temp, I check the fluid and it is at the full mark...operating fluid level is ok...:dunno:..
