My left rear end is saging afew inches pretty noticeable, I looked at the leaf springs they looked good but the shock sleeve looks a little crushed bit it doesn't ride like it's got a blown shock I'm stumped any ideas?
honestly I dont think a blown shock would affect ride height on a suspension with leaf springs, just ride quality.
At one time Ford had a TSB for the 250/350 for left side sag caused by the extra weight with the fuel tank. A shim was the fix on the driver side under the leaf pack.

Think the shock could be holding it from coming up? I'd try to put a jack under the frame and see if the tire comes right up or if the truck lifts normally...:dunno:

This is the normal side, there is a 1 3/4 inch space between the springs on this side

any ideas? i have none:dunno:
seems almost like the springs on that one side just got fatigue and they're drooping.

I keep getting told to turn the drivers side torsion keys 2-4 turns more than the passanger because the weight of the fuel tank. I'm gunna give it a shot

You can try it but I have NEVER heard of doing that. If anything that will somewhat transfer the weight to the rear a bit more and sag but long beds with larger fuel tanks I guess its possible of the fuel weight but I wouldnt think so.

thats true, i might just get new leaf springs? but that will hit my money for my Air dog :(
are your fronts even? if you adjust the torsion bars wont that make the front sag? kinda like robbing peter to pay paul.

Maybe I'm a big dummy, but how is making the front of your truck sit higher going to do squat (pun intended:anitoof:) for the rear? If your springs really are sagging, you need to address the springs. Or, you can buy your airdog and not worry about it. In my book, basic maintenance always comes first, mods/fun stuff second.
Check out Diesel Place and other Dmax forums, from time to time, guys are selling stock springs when they get aftermarket packs for big lifts (when they don't use blocks) and I bet you may be able to find a set on the cheap.
Good luck.

I just sold my buddy my add a leafs cause I took mine out that came with my lift to bring my truck down a bit. There is obviously something wrong with the your springs or shocks best bet would be to switch them (if they are switchable) and then see if the opposite side sags too.

I had a similar problem on my '00 Dodge. Turned out that the CT DOT's Liquid Car Melter eat my Passenger side Shackle!

When i needed new spring in my 99 tacoma it was alot cheaper to have palmer spring repair the old ones than it was to buy a new set.
