Just got back, not too bad. About 40 trucks showed up. Good mix from the big 3 and 1 international 4x4 flatbed. Pretty good group of guys/gals some first time owners, some from diesel families. Should just keep getting better as better weather arrives. No :jim: going on (yet!) little bit of silliness from a couple of locals but not bad. LOT of new faces! Maybe get a few newbies on here soon too!:HoleShotHolset:

Was a about as good of a time one can have standing around a parking lot kin january :smilielol:

Those triples look great in person too Carl, looking forward to seeing what they put down for numbers.

Looking forward to the next meet, hopefully get some more NETDP members

id think about going if it wasnt a 2 hour trip each way during the winter. Might be up for it if the weather was nicer

IDK how long that location will be good. Derby definitely has an advantage w/the shop being semi private. But the crowd was pretty good, not too much :Signal73: mayhem to draw the wrong :jim: attention.
I do like being able to go to a meet fairly close, that was the major draw for me. Def. be better in warmer climate! But still cool to see so many diesels show up just to hang out. :HoleShotHolset:

yeah that was a good meet up. I hung out for a little bit, didnt know anyone. I was the guy with the red / black std cab 2nd gen.
That guy with the triples had a nice setup.. damn.
Was hoping to see someone with a 2nd gen with $$$ remote resevoir shocks so I could ask some questions but everyone seemed to be running normal gas / hydraulic shocks.
there was some duallie with a nice bumper on it, trying to figure out what make.

I think I remember seeing your truck pull in, thats the hard part of these sorta meets, people kinda congregate and form little cliques off of who might know who

I realized as I was uploading the pics I didn't get much of anything good :smilielol: :97DodgeCTD:

But this could give you guys an idea of some of the trucks there...

This was at the end of the night, this row was fill, and a good 5-6 trucks off to the left of the frame

With this sort of a turn out in 30° weather I would only think it would get better when the weather is nicer. There was a Texas Roadhouse or something accross the street too as well as a few other restaurants that could make the trip a little more worth while.

Seems shady lol.... Bobs parking lot at night full of a bunch of trucks. The thing I hate about meets is that I dont know anyone, and that I'm young, so it'd be hella akward if I just showed up. Also, I'm a newbie so I cant "talk the talk." Id look like a fool...

kawi600
01-16-2010, 12:27 AM
Nope the guy in the snow was on the back side of the lot, i was in that pic with the white 3rd gen and lifted ford beside it.
That was a good group, just a little horsing around but nothin crazy enough to draw attention.

Was a little shady, but there was enough people there to make it fairly obvious it wasn't a little meet of 5-10 people. Some shenanigans went down but nothing too major, and I think most everyone there was pretty young early to mid 20's if not some much younger

I was definitely at that stage once, and mostly still am lol. Swing on down next time, us Ford guys gotta stick together :smilielol:

Also DEFINITELY try and make it down for SEEfood next year, you'll meet lots of good guys and eat some great food. Its a bit of a trek, but well worth it.

No I havent been to anything yet... I think its the fact that I'm 19 that kinda makes it all the more akward.. maybe if this meet takes off, you all can plan it to piggyback on the summer nationals in worcester when it happens. I'm always there for that, and am gonna register in the show next year. We all should.. it has everything else, so why not diesels?
