Hey, my friend had his dodge transmission built for his truck there and likes it but was wondering if anyone else had theirs built by them? They quoted me $4500 installed for a full race rebuild, billet input, TQ and shift kit. I want to make sure this trans will hold 600hp, sled pull, drag race, tow and be my DD for now.

Also this is for my 2000 Ford F250 7.3l

Any help would be great because if im dropping this much money I want it to last. Also Im going to see how much not installed because I can install it myself but I don't know if that would still come with a warranty.

you won't be disappointed, all three of my trucks have his trannys, ive had suncoast and ats. i made just under 600hp in my mega. ive truck pulled, dragged it and pull a 31ft trailer. its by far the best tranny(tc) ive had. my 12v i pulled just about all the truck pulls in 2006, commercial plowed witha sander and still running that tranny today,oh yeah and ran a 12.9

There are guys making 600hp on stock forged bottom end. It could be done with good tuning. Also you cant have the pmr's in your motor :falldownlaugh:

I've read through a couple threads from Blowby on PSN. i think he's the highest as of now. A couple guys are hittin 550 with a turbo, right tuning, a bigger (or twin) high pressure pumps and fire hoses for injectors. Someone averaged it out to between $8000-$10,000 for it to be reliable.

I would have to say though, if you're gonna run a trans, a BTS is the way to go. great guy, extremely helpful. He talked me through my entire trans swap and i never bought 1 thing from him.

Ya I was going to do all the goodies for the powerstroke but after reading a diesel mag and a guy blew his 7.3 with upgraded injectors and minor mods I decided to go with the cummins route. I already sourced most of the swap parts just need the motor now to go with them.

I was going to go with BTS but decided to have a member on here's shop build and it came out wicked good and cant wait to start putting power through it.
