I'm just really a huge fan of the decore and interior decorating they have going on at their fine establishment :97DodgeCTD:
Sooner the better works for me, so I'll throw out the 6th as a date, first Saturday in march, 3 weeks away. Same time I guess too, 3pm

Alice in Chains is playing that weekend. They randomly release additional tickets so we are hoping to grap some. If not, dinner, gambling and possibly Shrine. Still have to look into that and see what's up.
Glad to hear it was a good time. Looking forward to it.

ill call ahead but you cant to it untill that day, as they dont really do call ahead seating. But they can usually try to save an area as long as its not that busy

I can see my presence tomorrow is already known. Would love to meet you/see you all, seems like a fun get together. Apparently the mildly funny and terribly tacky humor I held over on CompD has given me somewhat of a bad name on this side of the interweb. I hope to clear all of that nonsense up if I do meet you guys.
I would be bringing the 6 uh oh (which I do pay for, though it's titled under the CG) if there wasn't some body work and brake issues to be figured out. I'll be up there with the boss's 6.4L.
Hopefully I can show a slightly more dignified side of me. Obviously the interweb and my crude humor have done me little justice. Glad to see I'm previously stereotyped on here....
Well, hope to see everyone tomorrow!
Wont be catching up with you at this GTG but the CompD thread was classic. Most viewed/replied to welcome thread ever!
Anyways welcome to the site and dont sweat what happened over there with us, pretty sure everyone can appreciate the humor!:smokin:

I thought I might as well start a good thread, and might as well add fuel to the fire whenever possible. Instigation is key, getting called a classless broad is not.
It's the internet, and it's crude humor. Either get it, or shut it.

Good to see all you guys and gals again, as well as some new ones! It's too bad that Hooters was so crowded! Who knew, the last time it worked out perfect, but unfortunately we weren't so lucky this time, that and they don't reserve tables:97DodgeCTD: It's nice to see that we can get that kind of turnout, next time we might have to find a venue that can support the numbers.
Lotsa cool trucks today, nice looking Bronco with the 7.3 swap and that triple turbo Cummins was awesome. Oh yeah did you all see that sweet looking Subaru? it was deffintly a good turnout lots of ford guys for sure. Sucks about the seating issues (tried to talk to a manager to see if they would be interested in setting up a monthly thing, if they would give us our own area but the General manager I "needed" to talk to wasnt avalible said to call back monday) Ill see what I can come up with. I say if they dont accomidate us we go elsewere there are plenty of places around there with more parking/ seating/ willing to work with us more than likly. The scenery might not be as good but at least we would be able to socialize more.

Not a big city guy. Between the traffic, tolls, potholes, and lack of co-ordination it was kind of a bust, but the turn out and the few guys I did get to talk to were good. So prolly a less "city" location like framingham or such would be better.

I agree, (especially about the tolls, how is a dually 2 1/2 times the price of a car!?), but from what I heard of the meet last month, the restaurant was quite a bit busier this time around, which made parking/seating a lot more difficult. However, I did enjoying hanging out and meeting those I was able to! I don't know Framingham all that well, but I know there are a bunch of restaurants around there, and maybe a few that would be more accommodating of a large group, especially if this is going to be a monthly/regular thing. I think that these meets have the potential to bring in a lot more people than what we all saw Saturday, which would be awesome! :exactly:

IIRC, that was a Thursday night, too, not a Saturday night like the Hooters meets have been. Not quite as crowded and they do have alot of rooms of various sizes.
I've always wondered about those stairs, not that Irish pubs and restaurants have a rep for alcohol consumption, and bladders tend to fill up after a few pints. Maybe they should put a couple of mattresses on the landing, or a trap door that leads to the parking lot outside.
There is another bathroom near the top of the stairs.

I'm pretty new to the area, but are there any nice truck shops on the southern ME/NH or northern Mass areas that you guys know of? I used to go to a bunch of get togethers down in Virginia when I was down there and we'd always meet up at truck shops...the owners are always way more than willing to open there parking lots to us (I think huge groups of trucks out front probably looks good for business!). Everyone can just bring some food and beverages of choice. Anyway just an idea? Now that the weathers been on the up anyway :dunno:

So now we're going to start choosing meet locations based on the availability of blueberry beer and bathroom locations? And here I thought Steph and I were the only girls on this forum! :poke: :smilielol:
That being said...I really like the Wachusett tour idea! :HoleShotHolset: Or Chris at Top Dog might be open to a meet at his place, but it might be a bit of a drive for the southern MA/CT members. I wish we still had the shop in NH, it would be a prime meet location! :97DodgeCTD:

Well does April 17th work for everyone? I guess we can iron out the WHERE in the next week or two, but April 17 should be good for me. If not April 17, then how does April 24 sound?

Why do I have the feeling that if I suggested a meet at a horse ranch, that served blueberry beer, you'd be all over it? :poke::smilielol:
There's also the brewery in Portsmouth, NH that might do tours, too.
Josh is right about those stairs. They don't look different, but after a couple of steps down, you feel like you've got a pair of clown shoes on as you reach for the railing.
NPD's web site says the open house, 5/22, starts at noon. Meeting at the brewery for the tour at noon, then heading to Ben's (45 minute or so ride) would get us there by two. I don't think any other NETDP members meeting at Ben's would mind if we brought some of Wachusett's finest there, as long as it was OK with Ben.

My favorite bar is at the bottom of some steep stairs...it's the best sobriety test! If you can't make it up them, then you can't leave! :smilielol:
And for the record, I never said I wouldn't partake in a pint or two of Blueberry Ale...although Wachusett Summer should be out by then! :HoleShotHolset:
Redhook in Portsmouth does do tours, but most of their beer sucks. I'd definitely be down for the Wachusett tour though!

the last dyno i saw there was the guys from barrington who do ben's dyno days. there's also a Triple X (i think) performance or some name like that that has like 2 cummins diesels that was there. i don't like most of the guys there except the mechanic with the black ford gasser... he's alright. i'm pretty pissed at zach though and he's in with all of those guys.. so i'm done with that place.
anybody want to start a good diesel performance shop in the portsmouth-dover area?:TqT:

Im in for starting a shop haha.. Need a new job anyways just got word today my work is up for sale... Not good. I beleive triple x dyno is who goes to bens. not a fan of any of the trucks I see at todds touch. hey all seem to drive around town showing off when really the only impressive car is his camaro which last I knew laid down 600+ on spray and only gets driven to shows (Might even get towed not sure) :TqT:

Ah, yes, love the Portsmouth Brewery! PB has several really good beers, Dirty Blonde is awesome! I've never been on the tour though, that would be fun! Parking might be a bit on an issue though? Smuttynose is right down the street as well, their tour's pretty good.

COUNT ME IN. I've been thinking that'd be perfect, there isnt nearly enough of them.
Except we'll make it a general Truck Shop, not just diesels. Any sorta trucks...definitely in or around Dover. I bet we could make that work...
