Seeing that today is a wicked nice day. i clean the truck up all nice and shiny. Cleans up pretty good for a 14 yr old truck with close to 160k miles. I put blackmagic tire wet on all the tires, rims, mirrors, grille, bumper, and the fender wells oh and the mud flaps. love that stuff :smilielol: gonna put a coat of wax on her come summer time :woohoo:
Enjoy :HoleShotHolset:

do a claybar before the wax.. use meguiers or something better (don't get the cheap blue one). i now do it ever year and it makes the paint pop after doing a wax.

Looks great love it when they get all cleaned up from spring. Love the look of the big tires on the dually too, specially that low angle rear shot.

I started to like the looks of my truck again after giving it a bath on Friday. Like you I hope to wax it coming up soon, clay bar is definetly something mine needs.

Sadly I think the best/easiest/maybe only way to fix that rust spot is a new fender. Not so sure on the dodges but on the fords I believe the cowl and weatherstripping and all drain down into the fender there. When it gets plugged with dirt it builds up and rusts out the bottom of the fenders like that. Reminds me to check on mine and clean out the drains.

yea ill try and clay bar my truck to0, never have.
new fender :nutkick: would like to have a new truck more than anything. down size to a single rear wheel. dont need a dually really. and i would get a truck with 5/6 speed :exactly:

I did mine up on Sunday too. No wax yet but just washed it up nice. No pics tho lol.
I need to polish the rims. the salt and liquid calcium chloride they put down has been hell on them this year:nutkick:

I have used the mothers powerball on my drill with good results. The dodge alloys like to eat up the little ball but I get 2 years out of it.
Mothers Mag and Alloy cleaner is the first polish, then coat it with some good carnuba wax.

the stuff i have is from jax wax, so far their products are untouchable... never have i ben able to spray a cleaner n a wheel and then spray it off and have them lk like new with out it damaging clear coat.... theirwaxes and all other products are unreal AND as affective as they come...

Sounds like things are finally looking good for ya John, least in the job department.

Would that jax wax stuff work on chrome wheels, and do you have a name for it? Last time I used mothers mag polish and it worked good but was a royal pita, over an hour per wheel and my hands were cramping up towards the end. Really seriously considering getting the wheels powder coated bla@ck but I need to get more black on the truck first for it to work.
