3 year 100,000 mile warranty on a tranny trying to hold 800 hp?????
i certainly understand the manufacturer warranty on defects but dont see how anyone can warranty 800 hp
other part of the equation is tuning

most can't. no tranny is reliable at 800hp or above. not saying they can't hold the power, just not reliable enough for companies to honor warranties

Contact Mark at New England Trans, they have done alot of allisons and also have efi live and are skilled at tuning the trans, which in our case with the allisons is very important, my truck is totally different with different trans tunes, their trans/converters are custom built units, someone from across the country will never drive/tune your truck for exactly what you want. www.newenglandtrans.com

You gotta pay to play.
It's not cheap, but in most cases you get what you pay for.

thank you for saying that i was just getting ready to! I learned that lesson the hard way with other vehicles if you want to hold 800HP reliably then spend the money even though it seems like a lot it will save you alot of down time in the future.

I agree with that, but the only advantage of new england is it's 15 mins from my house. If I can swing the money it will be the first place I go.

billet shafts and hub alone will be around $2k.. and you will need them if you have 800hp at the rear wheels. plus another $2k+ in parts (converter, valve body, clutches, internal updates), and then labor which isn't cheap.so yup, i'd expect $6k.

call Goerend Transmission if u want warranty but you will have to pay up the ass for shipping and have alot of down time. new england has been good to me and there local and most shops will only warranty there workmanship on kits its up to the manufacturer to warranty the parts and 800HP is alot of power not all that easy or cheep to get there.

Well I'm really looking to make 550-600hp max I just wanted an 800hp tranny for a buffer I guess that will take alot of the price I don't need billet shaft and hub so that will save me alot.

so long as you don't tow heavy, or do boosted launches or heavy boosted burnouts, probably not. your stock rods wont hold over 600hp anways..

I agree, if you try to go over 600hp reliable the trans will be one of the cheaper things
