Went out to Springfield yesterday. The station I used to use has 87 octane $.10 more than diesel. All the other stations I passed, including those on the Pike were the same, and Memorial Day isn't even here yet.
Although diesel's gone up, too, I'm sure glad I'm not paying what Hemi owners are, and getting less mileage & power for it. I'd be  and saying :wtf2:.

I filled up here just before leaving for Bar Harbor in August of 05, figuring fuel would be higher in ME. The Mobil on 95 around Portland was ~ $.20 less than here. Right on 95! Then Katrina hit. I filled up in Trenton a few days after Katrina and paid about what I paid here, then it went up but not as much as gas did.
Diesel's been climbing here, but slowly since the end of January. Atleast the demand for heating oil is down now. I've posted about buying from an oil company, but the high volume station I used to use, right off the highway has been $2.87 the past few days. I see sweet crude is down to just over $61 now, so maybe we'll see a downturn. :falldownlaugh: Sure we will, maybe a delay in an increase is all I should hope for.

Your delay is this week and half of next week .... :popc1:
I put 1 dollar down that says we see 4.00/gal this summer for gazoline. Diesel will probably be around 3.25/gal...
High priced fuel makes my truck very angry  - so angry in fact it turns it's own fuel red :falldownlaugh:
Yes, i understand that is wrong, maybe it's the marvel mystery snake oil i dump in there occassionally?

yeah, we elected folks last year to (among other things) look at WHY petro is so expensive and do something about it, but it just feels like theyre dragging their heels while were all bending over for exxon. :m2c:
There are a lot of theories around.. like peak oil and inflation causing the price to climb.
I still want to move to new hampshire. This state is for the birds!

i think the peak oil theory is getting a little long in the tooth... we're paying more at the pump, but moxxon keeps posting record earnings!?! Why is it that a country which was started with a revolution can now remain so sedated?? i guess i just answered myself...
kawi600, i like nh just fine, but i think it's pretty much the same everywhere.... well, maybe not, this is Tax-a-chusetts! :duh:

I've heard/read that if everyone did boycott driving (or buying fuel) for one day, it would cause a huge ripple with the suppliers. It seems like an easy thing to do, but impossible at the same time. :professor:

THINK about that...DO YOU OR ANYONE YOU KNOW ...buy gas EVERY DAY ? ...all that would do is give a few good truck drivers a day off

*Someone* buys gas everyday. I see you point though, it wouldn't really do much.
I'm old skool. I top off the tank every evening so moisture doesn't build up... :falldownlaugh: :poke: just kiddin' - now on tractors, I actually do do that :smilielol: I wrote do do... :smilielol:
