 Anyone ever put a later (98-02) 2nd gen shifter on a earlier (94-97) 2nd gen NV4500? Is this possible? Do you get shorter throws like the later 4500's had? Do I have to change the boot on the shifter and T-Case? I saw somthing about this in the latest issue of TDR but kinda needed some clarification. :duh:

Thanks for the input

i don't know the answer, and not to be a wisen-hiemer, did you ask over on TDR too? If i can take any pictures of a '98 shifter boot, etc to help you, let me know. good luck.

p.s. what's the 2007 sticker look like? good? :D

You can use the top cover/shift tower and the shifter for a 98+. You will have to r&r the tranny to change the tower tho.

Thanks Jim. It'd probally just be easier to wait for a '98 12 valve.

Nomad: I didn't ask at TDR I figured I'd ask here first. The sticker looks pretty good :woohoo:
