Northeast Diesel Performance. (soon to be former Blue Chip Diesel shop).
What's this mean? :dunno: Is Northeast Diesel Performance part of Blue Chip Diesel (the one in Derry, NH?) and soon will no longer have an association with them?
Does NE Diesel have a website? I've been to dyno days, but was wondering what this place has to offer for toys/services. I looked around Blue Chips site already and was wondering if it's similar.
TIA.
RUMOR HAS IT Ben will be taking over running the buisness from Chip therefore a possible name change will come into play.
They are a full service Diesel Performance shop and hosted quite a nice open house last year with outside vendors coming in also.
Here is a list of Dave Dunbars dyno events for '07

I see Dave's all over the place according to his event schedule. Thanks for the info and link. :beerchug:
This is all done. Ben has bought the shop from Chip and has changed the name to Northeast Performance Diesel. Chip has retained the Blue Chip name as he will continue to manufacture the Blue Chip products.
FYI, they are located in Greenville NH, not Derry.

Sweet. rumor confirmed! Thanks Doug. :)

It's unfortunate that Chippy has chosen a different path for his business. Chip has been a family friend since I was a young child.
I'm sure this new business will take things to a new level for diesel performance in the NH area.
:update:
Mark your calendars boys!:beerchug:
Copied from the NEPD site:
Northeast Performance Diesel is having an
Open House May 26th/27th.
Dyno
We will be having David Dunbar from Diesel Performance Motorsports bring his mobile dyno jet. Come and see how much power you have. Please join us on Friday night May 25, 2007 at the New England Dragway street night. This will be the kick off to a weekend of fun. Please note this event is not affiliated with us. We are in hopes to be giving away some freebies. Also there will be some prizes for the top three horse power numbers on the dyno. Three for each day. Please bring your family and friends. There will be food available here both days. E-mail with any questions you may have about lodging or events.

I didnt read the whole thread but when are people departing?
No plans set in stone as of yet, but probably on 5/26, saturday morning. Its about a 2.5 hour ride into southern NH from southern CT.
Even if you dont have any mods, or plans to dyno come out as it will be a great time to meet some dieselheads and see what the sickness is all about!
As the time comes closer we will set up a few meeting locations along the I-91, I-84, I-90, I-290, I-190 routes so we could roll in in true bombvoy fashion:woohoo:

If you are driving the 12V you are last in the Bombvoy. If I gotta follow you from CT I'll be too sick to participate :ThrowUp:Bye the way, Al Gore has a warrant out for your arrest. :exactly:
You must be reffering to leaving the shop the other night. I was just trying to help you out by filling in any rockchips on the front of your black truck with soot:falldownlaugh: :woohoo:

NOPE in the hills , theres only 2 kinds "THOSE THAT HAVE ,AND THOSE THAT WILL"...:falldownlaugh: :falldownlaugh:
I was on a job where 2 jokers were picking up stone from a quarry and dropping it off on the jobsite for the chiminey, all fieldstone. They had a 94 club cab long bed CTD with one of those JC whitney hydraulic bed dumps. well they were on a slight incline, went to dump it and the rocks didnt slide and the bed ripped off the frame on the top:smilielol: then they lowered it and the bed hit the cab because it was way off:falldownlaugh: comedy at its best. BTW that truck is what sold me on Cummins, 100% stock but hauled a 8' bed of stone loaded over the rails without even sounding like it was working.:smokin:

Wow what an awesome time:coorslight: It was great to meet everyone and huge credit to NPD, Dave Dunbar, and our hard working NHRedneck Dave for busting his @$$ all day straping down these beasts. You guys that are going up sunday get ready for a great time. Im way too beat right now and have way too much dust (or jack+cokes:smilielol: ) in my eyes and nose to think of any other details at the moment so im hittin the sack:)

It was a good time, my son had a nice time and despite my brake line busting (and who's to say how), it was a nice time overall. My big disappointment was with my truck. I swore I was making like 375HP but to find out it was like 347 is like a :nutkick:
The "humbler" strikes again:smilielol: Theres always room for improvement, thats what makes it fun:)

i honestly couldnt think of any better way to spend my weekend man! i told ben that i would be willing to do it all again next year. i told dunbar to bring an honorary dyno team shirt for me next year :falldownlaugh:

i know that i didnt kill it upon setup of the straps, im pretty sure the axle strap settled too close to the joint when we do the final strap check while rolling, and pulling the axle strap out is what killed it. sorry bout the lil mishap, but its a lesson to be learned for all of you LOL when ever you run rear brake lines always leave room for the dyno straps
you shouldnt be too dissapointed with your truck arthur, I was dissapointed in mine, i figured i would have been in the low 300's and i was only 266..... my torque i was happy with, guess i just need more fuel

hi Dave,
I don't blame anyone. It was the stock brake line, almost 10yrs old... I was very fortunate to have it happen there really- if it had been 100 miles up the road, then what? ! ? And, those guys really took care of me so that was cool.
It was a good time, i'll do it again next year, but I'll need more power by then... there were a lot of nice trucks there too..
