What do you guys reccomend for a stock HG, a #8 plate, and HX35 on a 175 horse motor? probally the "Stage 1" right? Or will I not have any problem going to "Stage 2" (I hate saying stage such and such, it sounds so ricerish)

Hoping to get these bad boys in before next Sunday... :Paully6: :woohoo:

Don't the 94/95 sticks have the 175hp pump?

Edit: BTW I took my first trip out of town with it yesterday and it hit a max of 1250 on the Pyro. Boost guage is now saying 45PSI

yea they do thats why im wondering if the 1000 seems high with the 5 inch exhaust and intake that should bring it lower then a stock truck right? i wonder why i can see 1000 if im really getting on it towing

I think you outta put them 215 sticks in, I hardly ever see that temp- once when running like 80 pulling a big compressor on the highway.

And, Ramdriver15, that's very hot. You're likely to burn up something other than your tires while doing a 1400F burnout. Tires are relatively cheep, pistons and such aren't... that is funny about the chevy gassers tho.. poor 1/3 workhorses... :smilielol:

I think I mis-wrote. Dave you already got the 215s in and are seeing that high temps? Somethings's a miss... That's super hot. But, then again, maybe it's my casual driving style...

Ramdriver15, I'm gonna halve to come to quincy to see you smoke the 'hood. Then spank you too. :nono: jk dood.. :D

Ram, have you met kawi600? he's in Roslindale. I think we should get a "greater boston" get together (i grew up in norwood/dedham area)

Nomad: I'm seeing about a 1200* max temp pulling a hill wide open doing about 60 with the new injectors in.

Flip: Nope. 218 on ebay :woohoo: Awesome price if you ask me, and well worth it. Took a buddy of mine for a ride today after work. He used to be a Power Stroke guy. :smilielol:

these injectors are great for the price, they "flow" like 370 and from jut the feel i want to say they help a lot but i have never driven anything with a 370 before...
Im looking for DV's if anyone know where i can get some of the highflows.... my uncle just got me a turbo for my graduation gift... but i wont get it till i move out to ohio!:woohoo:

What's your timing set at? I'd really avoid getting up in the 1200* range.

Ramdriver15

i only get that hot under heavy foot.....
i usually see about 800 degrees normal cruising highway and city....

i dont see how you are seeing only 500* more then me and you got a 215 pump no plate 3gsk and injectors that flow like 370s, could my 175 injectors be a problem, causing high egts, what else would it be

Ramdriver15

Ramdriver15

well i wonder if something is wronge with it (the pyro probe)....
1)Check your depth of the probe as mine is adjustable but idk about yours.
2)And what type of plate do you have and is it slid forward or stock?

DBogo
06-03-2007, 10:50 PM
stock plate as of now, how do i go about checking the depth of my probe, as long as its in there it should be getting an accurate reading right?

Ramdriver15
06-04-2007, 11:53 AM
when i did mine a while back, i pushed it down to the bottom and then pulled it up about 1/2 inch to make sure the end was pretty much in the middle i dont know the specifics on it but mine is kinda like guess work... so far its accurate for me!
