Hey Flip,
don't worry too much about the Tuesday night thing. We had to have the meeting on a tuesday night like Doug said, so that for the first meeting the entire BOD could make it. for future reference, our regualr club meetings are going to be held on the 3rd Sunday of every month, place and time will be located on the web page www.TurboDieselsNE.com We will however, be scheduling different times for different events as they happen throughout the year. I'm not sure if you have received it yet so I will send you a copy of the bylaws. That should answer most of your questions. If not let me know...

yeah youll def see me tonight at the track racing and tomorrow working the dyno :woohoo:
hey whats the best place to get a pyrometer?
:dunno:
The best place to POST this question would be the Tech section, not a Meeting thread...
But, to answer your question...Ben will probably have them for sale at his shop tomorrow at the Dyno day.
GOOD POINT...
Dave What time you goin over?:smokin:(dragway)
Your killing me....can't you keep threads on topic? There is a whole thread (or 2) about the dragway...this thread is about a club meeting. :falldownlaugh:

Hey guys,
I have a question about this club... Why not just start a "chapter" of NETDP? Like the norther chapter of NETDP? That way people mid way of south and north could pick a chapter. Anyone think this through yet? It saves everyone a lot of everything in the long run and keeps a larger community base too.. Any thoughts on this... ? :)

It's not a car show Tom...you don't even need your truck, as long as you can make it.

I'm sure we will still be there. Come on over.

That is a good question Arthr. Here is my response;
First and foremost, I want to thank everyone that is involved with this site, I have met them and they are a great bunch. We are extremely gracious and heavily indebted to them for letting us use the site to promote our own club.
In answer to your question, it was talked about whether or not we would become a chapter of one of the online forums, but therin lies the problem, which one? We promote our club as a "turbo diesel" club, whick means anything and everything (truck, boat, car, etc.) That in itself limits our use of the forums. Also, not everyone uses the same forums, the Ford folks use theirs, the Chevy theirs, etc. We want to include everyone.
The reason we started this club is that we felt that there were a lot of people that have similiar interests (turbo diesels) that wanted to get together, but there seemed to be no real, organized way to have get togethers or promote upcoming activities. As powerful a tool as the forums are for getting information out to the people, they are still limited by the fact that they rely on the user to log in and check the threads. This is evident in a couple of recent posts that while intentions were good about having a get together, they for some reason fell through, and people were left with a bad taste in their mouth.
I think that one of the concerns is that it seems like most of our recent events have occured in southern NH, ME, northern MA area. Your right, they have. That is only due to our current membership base. Come the 18th of this month, I personaly am going to start working out of New London CT, and still reside in Maine. That in itself will start leading to events happening in southern MA, RI, CT etc. This is a New England based club, and will encompass such.
I hope that this explains why we went the route we did, as well as concerns that we are only going to be functioning in the northeastern part of NE. Check our calendar www.turbodieselsne.com and I think you will see that we have events planned all over.
Thanks again to the folks at NETDP, and hope to see ya'll soon.
Eric
