Passing on this info as requested...
Some of you on CompD might have already seen this. Looks to be similar event to the APR 4x4 jamboree that went on last year. I never made it last year but wanted too, and seems to be pretty decent again this year.
DATE: Sunday, September 19th from 10:30AM to 6:00PM
LOCATION: McCrays Farm, South Hadley, MA
55 alvord st, south hadley, ma
http://www.mccrays-farm.com/
Hey guys, I wasn't around for last year's inaugural TruckFest at McCray's Farm where I heard there was quite a showing for the truck pulls, dyno, mud bogs, and show n' shine. However, I am part of the planning and organization for this year's event and I want 2010 to put 2009 to shame! What we are doing to accomplish that:
Longer track, and we are trucking in new surface material!
Food and Alcohol On-Site
As of right now, there will not be mud bogs because of the damage to the field and because we don't want people to feel like there's too much going on that they are missing some action.
This event is in no way affiliated with the parts retailer that sponsored last year's event and didn't do fair business with people. This is being sponsored by McCray's Farm and the pulls are being run by MATPA.
We plan on having at least 2 diesel classes (2.5 Workstock and 3.0 Super Street), the 4x4 superstock gas, 4x4 mod, 2WD mod, street gas, and Run What Ya Brung fun classes.
The date is September 19th, and we need you guys to spread the word!
As Ryan posted, the CompD thread here, http://www.competitiondiesel.com/forums/showthread.php?t=93027&page=1
also for those with face book, http://www.facebook.com/#!/event.php?eid=149265381765064&ref=ts
also to update from my original post:
We have secured the dyno for Sunday, gates open at 10:30. We will not be having anything Saturday now due to conflicts with other northeast events. However, the sled will be there as well as a few testers, so if you have a truck that you would like to hook up several times for CHEAP, Saturday would be the day for it.
I am starting a roster for 20 reserved spots on the dyno. These spots will need to be prepaid. PM me for details. Everyone that wants to make runs after the first 20, it's first-come first-serve. There will be prizes for the top numbers, I am hoping to have 2 classes.
We are also looking for local vendors that would like to setup a display and/or sponsor the purses. If you are interested or know someone who may be interested, Pm me. So far only Marcotte Ford has stepped up, and I'd like to have approx. 10 vendors there.
Thanks, and I hope to see more of you there with this schedule change.

added the date/time and links in the first post.
I don't know about camping, and will see if I can find an exact location.
Ryan, is that charity even on sunday that you are doing the truck convoy in CT? I am still figuring out what to do on Sunday if we are traveling back from Englishtown that day, but all depends on my passengers and what they want to do as well.

Good deal, I'm thinking that is the pick for the return trip if we do anything, but like I said its mostly up to my passengers if they want/need to get home for anything sunday. Sure does look like a good time, and would complete a weekend of big rigs after Englishtown :exactly:

Yea sucks what happened to your truck, hopefully you can get another diesel soon, maybe swap into the V10.
Definitely a good cause and it looks like a good time as well.

Thanks for the the interest! As was said, this is only going on Sunday, Saturday I just opened up the offer to those who might've been making changes to their trucks or were close by and wanted to hook up to the sled later in the afternoon as many times as they'd like to test those changes before the actual event on Sunday.
For those who want to pull on sunday, The hook fee is $30 and there are 2 diesel classes - 2.5 and 3.0. no hanging weight for 2.5, 8000lb limit, single pump, solid blocking is allowed, has to be a reese-style hitch with hook point no closer to the rear axle centerline than stock. weighted bumpers are allowed in this class but the weight penalty is 500lbs. the 3.0 class is 8000lbs, hanging weight allowed, dual pumps, reese-style hitch, twins are allowed, bushings are allowed.
I have 7/20 spots reserved on the dyno for Sunday, I know a lot of locals that havent signed up yet and prepaid, so my suggestion is if you are coming from a ways off contact me, Tim Judd, and register ahead of time so you don't make the trip for nothing. My email is cbst9judd@gmail.com.
Thanks,
Tim

Thanks for coming out and supporting the club, the farm, and our sport! we had a great turnout of about 450 ppl. We ran 25 trucks on the dyno, and the top number was taken by Heath Rogers in his twinned Cummins from Saco, Maine. Heath ran a best of 580 hp/978 ft-lbs at first which was enough for the top spot, but he wasn't happy with that and hit the rollers again (after pulling twice in the 3.0 class) with a best of ~680 hp/~1200 ft-lbs!! We had a great Duramax crowd with the crew from Sampson's Diesel, and our top Dmax was Corey Cabral's single cp3, A5K dually, running a best of 565hp with a plugged fuel filter. But not only did Corey bring in the 2nd best number on the dyno, he went pulling against Heath Rogers and Todd Ely from PDS in his NTPA 3.0 Modified-class Cummins! On their first runs Corey placed 2nd, 1.5 ft behind Todd's monster, running Boggers on the rear at that on a packed clay track! I was very impressed and it was a real crowd pleaser. We were proud to hear at the end of the day we had no criminal incidents and no issues from any of our vendors. All of the proceeds left over from this event are going towards the next event at McCray's Farm, we know we didn't advertise as heavily as we wanted to, and we are changing that for next time. We also know that the diesel classes got confused and that will be fixed starting at MATPA's first meeting this off-season. So I encourage those of you who enjoyed yourselves with us at McCray's Farm, and want to pull with MATPA at McCray's next year as well as their other pulls, to attend the meetings and give them your input. I'll update this thread when I get the official website up and running with videos and pics from this years event, and we will be selling the event t-shirts the Staff was wearing yesterday off of the website as well for $12.

I don't know, what would you call it? When mine start to flow less because they filled up with crap, I say they are plugged.
as for the numbers, I know for fact that they were having a hard time loading some of trucks, other than that, I cant really speculate.

I hear ya, seems like there are always excuses, but I can vouch for Corey, his truck hammers and being a crew cab dually it must make some serious power, it needed a fuel filter BAD! He should have made more power but it is what it is.
