Learning how to weld

My wife and I had been talking about offering a set of workshops on saturday or sunday mornings. Maybe a 3 workshop set, couple hours long each, one for MIG welding, TIG welding, and aluminum welding.

(Just trying to get an idea of how many people woule be interested and a price point) How many of you would pay $60-$75 per for a complete hands on workshop?

I was also thinking of offering an auto darkening helmet and gloves with a signup for all 3, or some other deal I can get from ABCO.

Sounds like a good price and I'm sure you will have some interest from some local guys here. My dad and I have a similar setup so I know how to do all that stuff already, but I can pass the word on to some non members that I know of who are interested in learning. :HoleShotHolset:

I'd like to see what people think, and how many would be interested. I won't lie, I'm slammed with work until march/april, but I'd like to take the time to pass on knowledge to people who are willing to learn.

Yeah, this wouldn't be for certs. those are mostly for pipe and structural. this would just be so people can learn how to weld correctly and expand their abilities.

I would be interested in those classes. I know a little about mig, but always wanted to take a class.

This is a great idea! I'm going to be building a wheeling rig next year and some welding knowledge and hands on learning would help me out a lot. I would be interested in them.

i've been getting a pretty positive response, so it looks like it's gonna happen. I'll work it out so members here either get a discount or something.
