Perkins jeep swap

Anyone use a perkins diesel for a swap, I might have a line on one for putting in my Jeep. I would love to do a 4 BT but can't swing the $$$ (to much into the truck). I'm waiting to hear back from the guy for all the details on the engine, Hrs./miles etc. But for $300 if it will work, isn't too bad.

My Zuk has a turbo charged 3 cylinder Kubota in it, works good. I saw a Perkins engine on a tractor today. $300 sounds good. Even if it doesn't work as you expect, it's not a big loss.

I figured even if it isn't a turbo motor, I will rebuild and set it up for one and my 6cyl has low miles so I should be able to get a couple of $$ for it. I got an email back from the guy and he said it came out of a CAT forklift. We'll see how it goes.

Guy sold it , I'll keep looking. One will come around that won't break the bank!! Jeep will just have to stay gas for now.
