can really be any height depending on angle of it. if you strap it to tree then yea 3.5 to 4 feet depending on what your tryin to take a picture of. get down on one knee behind where your putting it and judge where you think the picture will be taken. or take a few test ones. What you got some bear over there in vernon?

If you haven't bought one yet get one with a IF flash you DON'T want a regular flash. if there is a buck going by at night and you have a regular flash camera you will spook him and then it will be good luck trying to locate him again. The antlers are mostly calcium so when the deer shed them in feb. the other critters eat them.

Back on topic. I'll see an avid hunter tomorrow at work. He even has a Ram, although it's one of those V8's. Maybe some of our Ford guys know him. :smilielol:

I'll ask him about camera height.

First off Its the rule that you have to hang the penis and balls at eye level in the middle of the game trial so if another hunter is walking down it and not looking up where he should be (because the deer are infront of you not on the ground) then he gets tea bagged by your dead deer :falldownlaugh:.

Mine is at 4.5 with a 50' shot

He said the same height you mentioned, 3.5-4.5 ft. He raved about the cameras. Tells you the time the pic was taken and a nice infared image but he's never bothered to buy one. :dunno:

I have 2 cameras out right now, just can't get a picture of a deer, last year I had them in the backyard every couple days/nights.
I only buy cameras now that have a way to lock them to the tree, Ive had 2 get stolen. 1st one was a older film camera & not on my property so no big loss, the 2nd one was a digital & on my property.

Yeah that s what I'm worried about, I don't wanna loose it, I'm about 40 minutes away and it would have to be out for a couple of days.

I don't trust really anybody nowadays, plus if you have bears around I here they like to rip them off the tree.
