Gooch

I have been hanging out with CTD DOUG from the MA chapter for a few months since purchasing my truck. He has gotten me into 1/4 mile racing up at the local track on weds and friday evenings I have been to the track 2 times this week ,I went on weds night with my stacks being the only mod and my best time was 16.7,so I went and bought a airraid cold air intake, and switched my oil to royal purple 15 40 and headed back to the track only to run 4 -17.1 and 2 @ 16.7 my best speed was 80.34
I am looking to improve this down to at least a 14.1 or better
SO a good friend of mine Flip has let me borrow his Boost fooler. I haven't ran the track with it yet. but what should I be expecting from it? also what else could I DO that's not outrageously priced
my truck is a 06 3500 larmie with the cummins 600 automatic 4 speed with 5" stack airraid intake and recent a boost fooler

HI FLIP! You've been quiet this weekend, whassup?!? :D
gooch, wish I could help, but you have one of them new trucks and I don't understand. BUT.. if you want, I WILL race you and we'll see how it does. K ?
Flip, that manappap video takes me back to when I wore feetie pjs.. LOL I actually remember watching that on CH2 WGBH like in the '70s. it was on in the early eves .. :)
Gooch man, whassup! unfortunatley the newer electronic diesels are a little more $$ then the older mechanicals. Instead of adding springs to pumps, grinding fuel pins+plates your now buying computers, more expensive injectors, etc. I have the smarty downloader, it was almost 7 bills but on level 3 alone (out of 7) it rips up the tires from a dead stop without using the brakes! it does from 30-170 hp at the wheels, anything above level 5 and you will kill your trans. another popular choice is a set of 90hp injectors from dynomite diesel performance, or industrial injection. With more fuel your going to raise egt's and to cure that your going to need more air, turbo time! it gets expensive quick, speed costs money, so start working ot, maybe a 2nd or 3rd job to pay for the mods:coorslight: Of course 1st things 1st, since you are already hanging out with the right guys, im sure you know you need a good set of guages to monitor whats going on with your engine so you dont melt omething down.
Good luck any questions let us know!
Jim

So lemme get this straight... They let the muscle cars and hot rods run with 5 lugs, they let the ricers run with 4 lugs, they let the 4x4 half ton Chevy's run with 6 lugs, but they wont let a 3/4 ton Dodge run with 7 lugs? :notworking: on one wheel none the less? :notworking:

Ya, you got it... I ran up to Franconia NH on Sat afternoon makin like 90MPH the whole way and no problems. I torque my own wheels so I know minus 1 NUT :smilielol: that I am OK
Ya, go figure.. whatever.. I got my money back, 'cept for my travel and frustration, but ok...
