I installed the 98-99 HD steering on my truck along with a Steering Box Brace.
I went to get and alignment done today and they come out wanting me to look at something.
This something was that they could not get the Steering wheel straight because the adjustment near the pitman arm is bottomed out so there is not room to adjust.
So my steering wheel is cock-eyed about 15-20* give or take now.
What can i do?
Is it possible for the threaded ends on the tierod are longer than most?
Please give me some advice,

PS steers great now minus the cock-eyed steering wheel

Sounds like you didn't have the gear/wheel centered when you installed there gear.

You could move the pitman arm over a notch, sounds like you didn't have it on the right one. There are 4 ways the pitman can go on so maybe you put it on one off.

I've just finished the same swap on my 97 & I've not had this issue, although the drag link is quite close to the end of its adjustment, The pitman arm must be out of wack.

did the Heavy Duty early sterering swap on my dad's 2002 truck and he had no problems. I think his ball joints are tight though and not allowing steering to move freely..
