3rd Gen 5" Exhaust

Hey everyone.

I ordered a 5" turbo-back for the truck and can't wait to put it on this weekend. Anyone here run 5" on a 3rd gen? Curious on the fit and sound if someone has experience.

Can tell you that taking the OEM system OFF on a 3rd gen is loud :smilielol:

And then the resulting 6" was just as loud leaving the shop :falldownlaugh:

It has a unique rasp to it because even tho the exhaust is 5" it is still 3.896" coming out the turbo so you get a raspy note that sounds great.

A guy at the dyno day bought one, then took it off for some reason. I think he said it was too loud. He had a Patriot Blue CTD like mine, but a Mega and an 06 or 07. He asked me if I was interested. I think he was from CT, around he NE corner of the state. A few guys I talked to were from there.

Any of the CT guys here know who I'm talking about? :dunno:

Now that you say that, I think that was his name. He has great danes?

I like how the storage under the Mega rear seats is easily accessible. With the fold flat floor and my son's car seat in the middle, I can't get my skinny hands under the FFF to get anything without removing the little guys seat. I can only access the 40 of the 60/40 side.

Not sure on the danes, Ive seen him at a bunch of Dyno events in the area, he used to have a silver 04 qc/sb IIRC and has recently updated to the mega cab.
