Check it out:

http://boston.craigslist.org/bmw/car/349686144.html

I'm going to go see it either tomorrow or Monday (whenever I hear back). I don't have the money to spend on it now but might be interested in going in with someone(s)... Maybe make it a NETDP truck, go to shows with etc, make a monster puller, etc. :coorslight:

P.s. i can keep it my place, plenty of room :smilielol: Might really be cool to have a club truck, mean one too..

Maybe we should make Thurston the NETDP truck. He's gonna be bad-azz. Best of all, he only has 12 valves!

Jim,
Yea, you bet. Good lunch time today. I'll bring some of that blueberry juice to you guys in CT when I come to coffee nite, hopefully right after 4th of july.

Paul,
that sounds good. Jim and Tim described the truck to me, sure you want to drive that on the road? Maybe we should take it for test run when it's done, like in a sand pit? :falldownlaugh:

Torque, Righto good chap, 12-valves = real truck :smilielol::coorslight:
Keep on truckin' bros.. :coorslight:

Must be. Those fits of jealousy just keep flaring up, and he's compelled to lash out at us more fortunate people. :stirthepot:

Make sure you take the training wheels off your truck first so the waders will fit! :poke:

:smilielol:
That's great. And once the 100k warranty is up, you can then drop in a 6BT 12-valve :falldownlaugh:

Ah then, a truck will be born... lol... ;-)

Yeah, that's it! Extra valves and common rails are for kids! :smokin:

I still only have 19,000 miles on my 05...

and my "nice friends @ Dodge" had my tire size set wrong so I really only have probably 18,000...

BUT MY BUDDY "SMARTY" FIXED THAT:woohoo::smilielol::smokin:

If I know Paul (which I do:smilielol: ) It wont take 100K for that to happen, Im giving it til his baby thurston is done:woohoo:

I better start building now. Maybe by the time I wear Thurston's motor out, Bubba's will be done. Or will it be Bubba's engine that gets worn out before Thurston's gets done? It's like a big circle!

Big John

Paul, you're an Engineer, think, 24 Valves= more wear and shorter times between breakdowns, 12 valves=fewer parts and more POWER!!!:professor:

PRattenbury
06-20-2007, 10:52 AM
All the more reason to get Thurston's 12 valve finished quickly, before Bubba's 24-valve wears out. Before long, I'll be taking off the training wheels.

Personally, I think the group truck should have 32 valves.

When I went to engineering school, we couldn't divide 32 evenly by 6. Which cylinders are gonna get shortchanged?

Eh, Cummins and Duramaxes have things in common now, right?

dieselnomad
06-23-2007, 08:27 PM
um, yeah, both burn diesel... :smilielol:
probably safe to say that hey don't care for powersmokes either... lol...

Actually saw a pretty mean looking 1995 Ford with stacks today. Something like that might make a nice group truck...

I only live 11-12 miles from massDiesel. Once Thurston's engine is done, I'm gonna go see... When is it supposed to be done, next week? I guess I should clean my frame mounts... :smilielol: ;)

PRattenbury

It was supposed to be done one of these Saturdays. I'm sure the shop would be much more open and usable without Thurston sucking up all the room. :m2c:
