There are a bunch of campgrounds in the area. Northeast Mass, the seacoast in NH, and Southeastern Maine all have choices...do a search, you'll find one that suits your needs.

Doug, I mentioned this to my wife, and she want's to bring the dogs. Would they be welcome too? The male is a Rottweiler/shepherd mix, and the female is a shepherd/terrier mix. Both are good with people, but the male has a short temper with kids. He won't bite, but he will bark when he's had enough.

Since there will be kids there, I'm gonna have to say that the dogs probably wouldn't be a good idea. Sorry for the inconvienence.

Your welcome, big thanks to everyone for making it go off without a hitch. I think the weather and traffic kept a few people away, but I still think it was a great turnout. Next month on the 19th should be even better!

wish I could have made it this weekend. Ended up at the mudruns in oxford ME instead picking up a dead ford mud truck :HoleShotHolset: I hope I can make the next one. Its looking like a busy weekend but maybe I can make it. Anyone going to be at the dragway this week? I think I am going to head down midweek for the street night. Maybe see some people there?

MIGHT WANT TO UPDATE the "EVENTS page on TDoNE... for the next few months... gen meeting conflicts in both Aug and Sept...
we went over this at the meeting actually :stirthepot: and just because theres an event doesnt mean that we cant have the meeting........ also remember that sometimes we arent going to be attending the events on the calandar, the calandar is there to post any and all diesel related events, so that if any members or the public would like to attend, they know what events are upcoming and where they will be held

Those that can make the meetings will, those that can't, well they won't be there. The meetings are scheduled for the 3rd Sunday of the month. This can be changed due to events or other things beyond our control.
There is nothing conflicting on the TDoNE calandar (http://turbodieselsne.com/events.htm) for the August meeting.
The date for the September meeting is Sunday the 16th. It's the same date as the Mopar Power Festival at NED. We have not decided what to do in this case as this event is open to Mopar vehicles only, we have GM and Ford trucks in our membership. It will not be fair to them if we change the date to accomodate the Dodge guys.

As our by-laws state, the general membership meetings are going to be held on the 3rd Sunday of every month. Yes, there are going to be conflicting events, that's the nature of things, however, the day that we picked seems to work for the majority so far. Other sites may have other events planned, and that's fine. they do not conflict with our meetings. As far as I am concerned, there are no conflicts with our meetings on any calender. If the BOD feels that there might be a conflict between a club sanctioned event and one of our meetings, you can be rest assured that the meetings will be changed and the general membership will be notified in a timely manner. As Doug mentioned, the Mopar nationals are not a club sanctioned event as we represent more than just Dodge, and therefore is not a conflict. If a member chooses to go rather than to the meeting, that is their perogative.
As far as the calender of events goes, we think Dave and Al are doing a pretty stand up job so far, and I give them credit. We all work full time jobs and are trying to make the club work as best possible. The website gets updated as fast and accurately as possible. I feel it would be appropriate to refrain from making comments regarding what we need to do to our site, as we are making every effort to keep it running as smooth as possible.
I also feel it would be wise to keep club related business off of the forums. In a general sense (mentioning of meetings, events, get togethers, etc) it is appropriate. but the nitty-gritty of the club stuff should be left to emails, PM's or good old telephones. The moderators of NETDP are kind enough to let us use this site, I don't want to abuse that.
If anyone has any questions, feel free to contact me at any time:)
