Getting the $$$ up for a DTT isnt easy, but you might regret doing it differently later on.
Scott does a whole pile of stuff on these trucks besides transmissions so keep them in mind if you need work later.

Exactly, besides, getting anything other than a DTT is getting 2nd best.No one puts the power to the ground that DTT does.Scott is good.

Any Suncoast shops in NE? I have to do my Allison this spring, DTT isn't a choice due to their problems with their Allison kits not holding the power.

Scott is the DTT man, he has also used Suncoast. I've seen Allison trannys apart at his shop. Give him a call.

Really? That sounds a bit off to me. Out in Indiana I saw a slew (O.K Not a slew but at least three or four with DTT trans mods) of DTT LBZ trucks doing just fine pullin', burnin' em and heard nothing but praise. I know alot of guys do programming enhancements that do stress the unique nature of the Allison but with internal mods to back the beef they should be damn near Nuke proof.

Frank Nobel in Wolcott CT does Suncoast - he did mine. He's a little pricey but he's done a lot of them and his work is second to none. Straight up guy - I recommend him.
