I wouldnt be surprised to see someone organize some small events to meet up and share mod info like you see classic car owners do all the time in the summer.

We have been here for 6 years and have had tons of events. Just mainly posted on the TDR as whenever they went up on say DTR or other forums they went unanswered. ... or flat out got yanked @Unmentionable.com

Every year thre is a big year end bash called the "Seefood Challenge" that I can snag off the TDR and bring over here for everybody's reading pleasure (And laughter)

Every friday there are meet ups in Derby CT and hopefully now that we put this OFFICIAL site together many other areas will start to sprout up.

We just had a M&G up in Portsmouth NH last weekend. It was posted on TDR, DTR, Cummins Forum, Diesel Truck World and DTW. (I forgot to post it here )

13 Diesel powered rigs showed, 1 made the trip from Vermont.

If I wasn't working I probably would have made the trip. Was Portsmouth Brewery's Amber Lager on tap? Good stuff. :beerchug:

Ehh southwestern ct.

Say I fyou are there then you MUST know the famous Toll booth trap on I-90 out to new england dragway. Man I got Pinched along with 6 other trucks all with trailers. I guess it's a Mass money maker because after we hit the diner right off the highway after the second tollbotth the waitress asked why we looked soo pissed off. we barly got out cops and the word toll and she knew.

LOL 84 in general is under construction. It's better but waaay too many "Engineers" and not enough engines  Lanes that dissapear for no reason whn you can cram 6 lanes in sort of thing.

Hi Norester. I see you have the Terra Grapplers. How do you like them? How are they in the snow, although I realize your snow probably didn't last like ours.

Hey, I love my tires, great traction in every condition but the wear end of it is OK. Just about 2 years & 40k their toast. If your interested in a good place to get them let me know.We never saw snow, just 1/2" ice.

That appears to be what every Nitto owner is saying about them. They're great but don't last more than 40K. I'd like the 295's, but their only D's so I if I go with the Nitto's, I'll probably get the E rated 285's.

They're on my short list, but I'd love to find some 17's E rated, in 295's that will last like the Michelin's. I plan to buy this spring before the summer vacations. I'd like to drop my rpms on highway and the 295 should bring me down 200 on the highway.

Thanks for your offer.....I'll keep you in mind.

They make a 285 in 17 thats E rated & a 305/70/17 E thats almost the same as a 295 tire

I hadn't looked at the 305's, but I didn't know they were E rated. I'll keep them in mind as well, if I go with the Nitto's. I'll probably have them put on my stock wheels and maybe sell my stock Michelin's that only have 14K on them now. Either that or buy another set of 17's for the new tires to go on and keep my stock wheels w/Michelin's for winter use, even though they're not the best tire for snow.

Decisions, decisions. Thanks for the info.

Oh, I thought you had a local guy who gave you good deals. I've used Discount Tire before, for my wife's Volvo.

There's a place here in town that has excellent prices. When I needed tires for my 1500 ram, I went to Sears, Sullivan Tire and my local place. The local place beat Sullivan by $40 and Sears by $75, plus they could have them on the next day. Sullivan said 3-4 days and Sears said more than that.

I see the Nitto 295's, although they're D's, have a load rating of 3195, like my OEM Michelins, although the Michelins are @ 80 psi and the Nitto's are @ 65. I've read other CTD owners are using them so maybe I'm too anal about staying with E's. Same price as the 285's, too. I looked at some Cooper Discoverer ATR's and they're a bit more.

Thanks for the links.
