Flip, Id say its hard to beat the fluid the factory uses. 100K on the stuff is a good deal. It may be a little pricey, but if you were to say go to the green stuff you need to make sure you get ALL of the red out as they dont play well together.
You can look into the prestone formula made to replace the red in the Mopar vehicles for a slightly cheaper alternative also.

Is the O.E. stuff like Dex Cool? I've seen that gum up many radiators and wouldn't hesitate to get rid of it and run just the regular stuff.

I hate to mention, but just make sure it's diesel rated so that it doesn't cause cavitation on cyl walls. .... ... Ok, flame me now. :-P

:smilielol: LOL Thanks Art I forgot about that. They make an additive too to add to your regular antifreeze I think.

yea, I just buy this G5 stuff, i'll get the label in a few, gott go out for wood. I found it's important though to use the real diesel stuff. name forthcumming.. lol

p.s.OK, the stuff is Zerex G-05. Diesel rated, Cummin's / Dietrot diesel, JohnDeere, etc. rated. You can get it whole or pre-mixed I believe. It's available at AutoZone, and is good for 5-yr or 150K miles.

I usually have a couple of jugs around 'cause my tractors, including on-road are leaking somewhere... good stuff. as far as I can tell.. :)

It seems like the GM's get it the worst. I've seen cars and trucks come in the shop with white powdery stuff just caked all over the cap and the hoses and stuff. I can only imagine what its doing to the insides of you engine, heater core, etc... :stirthepot:

Ill have to take a look at mine then  you sure none of the wrong kind got mixed in with the extended life? I heard that will cause gumming.
