I hope your kidding. I went to Mason Dixon's Spring Fling in my 08 grand Caravan work van and I went to Indy DHRA in my buddy's Toyota tacoma cause my truck wasn't finished. Who cares how you get there, as long as you get there!

well, i have to be honest... my back up ride is a 20yr old honda accord, (12-valve please note ) So, the deal with this ride is that somtimes it doesn't want to "go".. so I'm not sure I want to go somewhere where the vehecle might want to pass out before I do. You get my drift. I won't take the beater a couple hundred miles away to be stranded.. l l l
But, i know a good buch of dudes will give me a rid home anyway...

Hey all, save the date as OCTOBER 4th is yet another SEEfood Challenge! This of course has been the event that over the years just keeps getting better and better. The event has changed or "Morphed" if you will from an actual SeaFood thang that started with "Ill bring the Lobstah" (Famous words from 98Rammer) To the SEEfood Challenge that you see today. Kind of a celebratory way of kicking back and signing off for a bit after a summer filled with work and play.

The Challenge ... well we have heard of that somewhat teeny event called "Fat Tuesday" this event makes it look like Thin Thursday, and has become one of the best times had in the New England area. It's not only about the food either (More on that in a sec) it's about Wrenching, Vendors, Friends, and of course Trucks. If you have something to install, bring it and let's bolt it on, up , in ... whatever!

The Menu ... welll now that is the best part .... there isn't one, unless of course you count things like : Lobstah , Steamers , Chowdahs , Steaks , Ribs , kabobs , Chilli , Jemboliah , Pizza's , Corn , Fried turkey , Marinaded prtabellas , Shredded Pork bbq , Spanish - Fried and Tomato Rices , SOS , Soups , Pastas , Jamaccan Patties , Fried Turkey, Cookies , Burgers , Dogs , Corn , Breads , Venison , Red Hots , Hot Dogs , Burgers , and Grilled Chicken.

Who knows what THIS year may have. If you have that certain special dish that you can kick Emeril's food to the curb with, you know that dish you make that stops time because it's soo good, BRING IT!

The Seventh Annual SEEfood Challenge

Saturday October 4th 2008

FROM NORTH OR SOUTH ON ROUTE 8

"Exit 15 CT-34 Derby"

Turn Left On CT-115, Derby Ave And Go North For 0.6 Miles to 326 Derby Ave

Driveway Is Just After An Empty Lot And Between Two Brick Buildings On The Left.

Make sure to keep tabs on this thread (In classic N.E Fashion) on the Challenge and it's followup. Last mnute changes and laughs are allways a few keystrokes away.

I am going to be there and will make pulled pork (cooked in my smoker for about 12-14 hours). I can do four boston butts at a time which means about 14 lbs. of COOKED meat from the 28lbs. or so I start with. Is that too much? Should I just do two and not four?

Is there some story behind these beans? I have an OUT OF THIS WORLD recipe for beans too that I would/could bring.

I guess I'll bring two then! Maybe I'll make 4 and freeze two for my own use! I love sharing the stuff... but hate to waste it and if a LOT of others bring food... that may be better!

Hey, are dogs allowed? My wife want's to bring them if she goes, and she'll have my head on a platter if I go solo. I'm brewing a batch of beer this week, and it'll be ready for the big party. Also, someone mentioned overnight accomidations, and I'm to lazy (and/or drunk) to read back through the entire thread, so if anyone has suggestions, I'd be happy to make arrangements.
