Default trucks dead

She'll roll over once and then start clicking. I had the jumpers on her for 1/2 hour and nothing. I'm thinking it's time for new batteries or starter.

Which one?

The one on 254 is better, especially when you get the red light halfway up

John,

The key to drilling your manifold:

Be in Derby, about 1 am after almost all the beer... opps, coffee is gone and everyone is about to go home. Then just ask what size drill and tap to use. Just like magic, your truck will be in the bay, people with power-tools will be under the hood and it will be done. Remember to keep you hands and feet inside the ride at all time; and whatever you do, do not attempt to stop them.

At least that's how I remember doing it.

Sounds alot like the way my plate and springs got installed, but it was earlier in the night so there was a little shop fund involved, no worries!!

254 doesn't hit Torrington. You get it off of exit 38/9 off of Rte.6 (South Main or Main Street) and it runs out of Thomaston all the way to 118. When you're heading up 118 on your way to the Fair Grounds, you'll pass 254 on your left just before a winery and just before the hill that drops down to the Lourdes of the Shrine in Litchfield, Litchfield Locker (the butcher) and then back up the hill to Litchfield Center.

Ya, mine was done before the official shop policy was posted, although I do remember a 30 pack was left behind

Just get off exit 44 in Torrington (Rt 4) and go up to the "rotary' and turn left. That intersection is Rt. 4/ Rt 63 and the fairgrounds is just down the road.

I'm still doing my Excursion.. I updated my TDR Thread, link in my signature same with new other pictures on my picasa.... Updates: took out the 8" lift, Modified stock springs and installed them, Painted engine up, installed a breather dual valve cover, and installed the Mack rack plug on the engine. The mack plug install was easier then I thought.. took the 4" grinder out and a small round cutter on a 3/4" drill..worked great. also gonna be working on the custom bumpers and side steps soon..should be neat.
Thanks
Deo

welding 5th is kinda controversial because the shaft and nut are 2 different metals and you wont get much if any penetration into the shaft. The only way Id consider welding, is the method used by tri-county machine in Lebanon CT. You need to pull the trans and bring it to him, and he can work his magic on the 5th gear nut.
There is an updated 5th gear nut with allen set screws, also better, fully splined main shaft$ which help the problem.

yeah it fits a full-size truck no prob. I guess I can bring it wherever you want... Noble, Tri-County Machine, Jacobs', scrap yard

I would get the updated nut though if anything. then weld that too if ya want.
