I was thinking of heading down that way too. Didn't see one scheduled for NED and I hear the Englishtown event is MUCH bigger.

Its incredible they work those trucks day in day out. Then to be able to go to a show with them the detailing time they must spend is unbelievable.

I swear they didn't have the truck nationals listed last time I checked the schedule on the NED site, and now they got it

So when does the Official NETDP convoy to Englishtown thread get started

I have been drooling over that truck for quite a while, has tons of info and pictures of it over here, http://www.gotwheelbase.com/about.html Even plenty of pics proving its a working truck too which is plain incredible.

Has gullwing doors and a billion LED lights and all sorts of chrome all over it. He even had a tiny crushed car attached to the 5th wheel for the show too was pretty cool.

I thought I was the only one into real trucks Im gonna find an old day cab Pete and use it for absolutely nothing but driving around.
You should see that thing rollin, its simply awesome at how long it is, and it still looked show ready.

Haha, I have thought the same exact thing for years lol, figure if I had a big rig I would just go out cruising around as if it were a harley, boy would that be an expensive joy ride lol 8mpg diesel versus 40mpg premium lol. But would be soo worth it.

I would love to see it in person, probably much of the reason I wanna go to Englishtown. Its amazing that he works that truck, I dunno how they can keep them soo clean gotta take days just to polish them up like they do.

It's a bit out of the norm but I think my joy riding truck would be something like this. Not as ratty as this one but nice cleaned up and polished. I just like the classic Autocars

Either that or a nice tandem axle B model would be sweet.

Here is the Scrapliner

Nother one of my favorites

Dang now I wish it were september already lol

That Autocar is sweet, had a kid that lived in Bolton that built a single axle AutoCar with a transplanted non boosted garbage truck engine, he drove it as a daily driver straight piped man that thing sounded sick, he put a flat bed on it, he hung out a few houses down from me about 4 years ago, havent seen him or the truck in a while.

A few of my favorites.

Thats awesome, had to be loud as hell setup like that. Friend of my dads runs a fairly good sized excavating business and all they run are Autocars, I think the newest is from 86' not the cleanest of trucks but pure brutes, I think all of them are setup with 70k rears in them. I think one of them is a 68' or something and still running and working, back when they had the needle nose front end on them. He still has an old B model pulling a dump trailer too.

Is it sad that I didn't have to let those video's load to know what they were from just the titles

I really REALLY want to get up to Quebec to see this someday, still trying to figure out when and where it is, but its on my list of places to someday go, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OlELm...eature=related

That is a pretty nice looking one for sure. Got a few other things I need long before I get a toy that big though lol. Either that or convince dad he needs a lowbed truck.

I can't see those trucks going in an out of scrap yards, at least the ones I know. Wow, nothing better than a beautiful working truck though. Wonder if they are still making good money now with the price of scrap being ya down from a few years ago.

Oh and I just looked on Englishtowns schedule and they have it listed for Saturday the 19th. Now marked on my calendar, definitely looking forward to getting down there.

richie acosta (with the black pete) has a boatload of videos on youtube

i think the Guida's own a recycling facility and don't just do trucking...i would bet a lot of the other scrap companies there are/have the same

come to think of it. I think I remember 2 of them at Epping last year. They were driving through the pits when everyone was getting ready, I don't remember them parked over by the truck show section though but I do remember a pair of really nice black day cabs pulling some very nice matching dump trailers.

Id like to go again this year. A couple years ago I went and competed and had a good time. However the line to get into the pit area was long and it seems like all the company trucks block off an entire area leaving the racers to park anywhere they can find a spot. After every run I had to find somewhere else it seemed. Also at one point the pit area was so backed up racers were backed up onto the track which delayed the racing...I dont know if they have changed anything. Definetly a different world in New Jersey than New England...

yeah..the girls actually take care of themselves down there!

there was some chaos last year in the pits trying to fit everyone in, but it sounds like it was a little smoother than when you were there.
