Better do them both, Moose. The Dodge dealer is your best bet.

Moose, there is a shop in Waterbury on South Main Street that will make them for you. You can have them made a little bigger diameter for added strength. Off the top of my head, I can't recall the name of the shop, but it is right next to West Clay Street on South Main, in back of home Depot. I'm sure it will be a lot cheaper than the Stealer. If you need the name of the shop I'll make a call for ya......let me know.

I went to the Stealership, getting the parts tomorrow, $120 for both sides. Looks like they can be a bear to change, if the Conn Dots Liquid Truck De-solver got in to the bolts, I am going to PB blast it tomorrow, and try to change them New Years day.

I got mine from the dealer, get new bolts, yes they are a pain in the ass but did them in the driveway freezin my A** off with my mechanic and his buddy, took an hour to do the right side and 30 minutes to do the left. Rights go most often because of the way the truck torques (Fords blow left fronts on a reguar basis)

Default has anyone used one of these

it uses the a/c to cool the coolent in the truck.
my idea is my a/c comp works but im never gonna use it, so if i was to get a watercooled turbo and use this unit cause it claims it will cool water temp by 35-42 degrees will it in fact keep the coolent cool for the turbo and drop the egts, i would set it up so that the hoses would be soley from the compressor to the cooling unit and then tied in with the cooling system and have the compressor on a switch that would be turned on off by me.
call me crazy but its just food for thought

I did both of mine a few months ago, got them online for aprox 90 for both, so 120 isnt that bad to have them in hand a day or too later. Through a series of jacking my truck up and down, and taking the tires off so I could get the full travel of the suspension I was able to replace my unbroken oen pretty easy. The broken on however I just used a come along to pull the leafspring down. Soak those bolts as much as you can with something. The bottom ones are the pita ones, the top ones not so much took me 4 hours to do one alone and aprox half of that was the bottom bolts. Have fun

neat idea but I dont think cooling the bearings is going to do anything for the air inside the compressor. However, using that with an air/water intercooler, may yield positive results.

theres only one problem and thats where do mount all of it and i looked at the frozen boost kit water to air kit,and takes up some room, im trying to my homework now and i have a few things goin and a few things against me
one of them is me be a light ass and the other is my truck bein a 1st gen the front end is goin to bounce all over the place so, so a guess the more weight up front the better. but take a look at this install its in a 2nd gen but it will get you to see what im seeing http://www.turbodieselregister.com/f...installed.html
