It took two months to save the money for my transmission, from $0 to $5200 before those two months i needed a transmission for a long time before i ever started to save for it, but i didn't need or want it enough to actually stop going out to eat every night and buying crap that i didn't need.
also evan the track doesn't open until the spring time.

I'm glad I'll be in front of you when you hit the button so I dont have to swerve around the flying debris!!
P.S. on a more serious note, IIRC current NHRA rules state that if you are running NOS you will need a fire suit and 11.5 or faster requires a cage. Just FYI.

Yep hes right Ryan. Put up or shutup. Talk is cheap, go fast parts arent. It does get lame hearing about all your future plans, which we rarely ever see come to light.

i wish i knew what i could have hit before i sold it, i could easily hit over 40 and my guage topped out and it would wrap around again to 0 and thats with a MAJOR boost leak.

Tims daily driver will rip your "drag truck" in all of 2009, That I know for fact.

i would hope so tims injection pump was probably more then half of what i paid for my truck, and tim is more then double my age, therefore he should be able to build a nicer ,fast truck then someone half his age, that makes a 1/4 of the money if that. and I have NO drag truck despite what you or anyone else may think. my truck is a daily driver and has a trailer behind it pretty much everyday during the spring/summer/fall. and when i bought my truck it had a 8.6ft fisher ez v plow on it for 104,000 miles so my truck is no drag truck, its deffenitely more of a work truck/daily driver.

You are the only one talking about it!

Wow. I gotta get me some of those injectors so I can do all that too!

You mean "when it breaks"!!

So, let all of us in on this amazing plan to build a truck that can do all this on your salary so we can understand how in 1 season you will go from a stock 17 second work truck to a 11 second DD/tow rig/ puller without cashing in your trust fund!
I honestly think you're spending too much time with the ricer crowd.

your going to do all this with a truck that runs 11's? cause you did say your truck will be doing 11's

yes thats what im shooting for, will it happen on my first try on fuel only probably not, it may take a few tries, i may break some parts, and use some nitrous for me to break into and run 11.99 or faster. I don't know yet, i'll let you know when this truck makes its first ever pass at any dragstrip. but doing your homework and having the right setup and taking people's advice who have made several 11 second passes in a full weight regular cab long bed 4x4 sure does help a lot.

well it should be interesting to say the least! Best thing is, you dont have to worry Ryan. Nobody will hold you to saying your truck will be in the 11's this season. So if it doesnt happen its no skin off your back

So, let all of us in on this amazing plan to build a truck that can do all this on your salary so we can understand how in 1 season you will go from a stock 17 second work truck to a 11 second DD/tow rig/ puller without cashing in your trust fund!
I honestly think you're spending too much time with the ricer crowd.
also carl if you can't hit 11's with your 250hp injectors you screwed up somewhere along the lines, and im pretty sure you can drive your truck daily still. so its very possible to have a fast daily driver, especially with a 24v you can just turn one of your boxes down and your at a much lower hp, it takes a light foot, and lots of self control to drive a fast truck on the street, warpig is probably the closest so far, too bad the track is closed, and there are no dyno days in sight.

yah if and when it breaks, i would like to have a trailer there, if the track is further then 99miles from my house, so im not stuck with a nasty tow truck bill. also im not on any kind of salary, my income is like a roller coaster. okay.

okay then hold me to 11.90's then. do it see what happens, but don't talk about it, why can't we all just get along, and help each other build our trucks how we want, and help each other out, and not be enemey's who cares what one person posts on another forum. leave it on that forum.
