thats correct usage of the words piece and peace. i love hooters every wednesday me and few buddies meet at the one on the berlin turnpike. for a nice evening of arguing who's faster, but i am just a grass hopper, in this circle of friends, because they don't race cars or trucks, they race gsxr 1000's and hayabusa's, some with turbo's, and they run 9's and 8's in the 1/4 mile. i may just finish the truck with the bare minimum(turbo,o-ring head, cam, exhaust manifold, and fuel pump) and just leave at that and focus on getting a a bike before the summers over and race that at the track, less breakage, much less money involved, and easily more fun in my opinion, and im at a good weight for this too, a little on the heavy side, but i can work with that.... nothing like 1000cc's between your legs and going down the 1/4 mile at over 150mph!

along with those advantages ryan you forgot to mention your chances of getting killed on one is MUCH greater than in a truck. (not tryin to say i want you dead)

- Did i Mention I hate crotch rockets as much as anything, They should be illegal to sell along with the bikes for real young kids. I love my harley but people that ride the sport bikes give motorcyclists a bad name. jmo.

yah i know, but i plan on doing most of my riding at the dragstrip. where its legal to speed. im not gonna argue very much with what you said becuase i have seen many motorcycle accidents down in hartford on a wednesday night also known as bike night in the summer where people were doing wheelies at highspeeds and colided with cars or other bikes and lost control and died, but you have to respect what your driving, or riding. I know many young kids, younger then myself who have been severy injured riding dirtbikes offroad, and even almost paralyzed, so no matter what you have to be responsible, no matter how much or little power you have. plus i have to convince my parents too or have enough money to move out, so chances aren't too high right now anyways. did you ever put your injectors in yet?

Today was a nice day for Excursion work..ha.. finished the battery tray, its hanging to let the rustoleum dry... I mounted the modified cruise control servo. I dropped the HX50 turbo off with my friends dad.. he's going to machine a 9 cm exhaust housing from a HY35. The Current modified 6 cm housing was too tight for my liking etc... The current idea is a to make a small towing twins set..the HX50 9cm and a HT3E 20 cm housing (basically a HT3B with Mapwidth enhancement) with a external waste gate..etc....any way gotta to do finish the grid heater install, keep if KDP is tabbed, swap in 12 60lb valve springs, make the battery cables, make the remote dual fuel filters, and finish the remote 4" exhaust brake install. ha..lots of work to still do ..oh and make a beefty set of steel side steps..
I hope the weather holds liek this ...Progress will be made then....

who else got some stuff accomplished?
Later Deo

yah after some r&d at the track with my truck im going to make some decisions and a trip to the dyno and see what else i need to run 11.99's. do i know for certain no! but niether does anyone here, but like i said, i have been pm'ing members on competition diesel, and searching on the to see what others have used to break into the 11's with similar trucks to mine, and thats what im following. and i don't think phil taylor, or brad ponci, or any of the other members on competition diesel are leading me to failure with there advice.

Its all in the eye of the beholder. I'd rather a crotch rocket personally. and personally I hate harley's, because like probably like 90% of all the retards with harleys (and i mean actual harleys not any cruiser bikes like goldwings and crap) go with the loud pipes save lives thing. Not that i am any better with my truck, but i also dont generally travel in a group of between 10-100 ppl. and i'm not constantly revving my truck to max rpm in every gear. so just my opinion that the card flops both ways, nothing by it.

bikes in general have a bad rep. but when I was a kid the cops used to stick their battons in the tailpipes to check for baffles (my dad got several tickets on his FLH) and since jessy james and OCC they think louder is cooler but ONLY on harley types.
Do you know what harleys and hound dogs have in common?
they BOTH like to ride in the back of pick-ups.

You know why the Harley guys ride in a pack? In case one breaks down.
Here's the breakdown scenario;
1 guy to wrench on the bike.
1 guy to search for tools.
1 guy to flag down passing motorists for more tools.
2 guys to take turns kicking it to try to start it.
1 guy to drink beer and offer advice on what to check next.

And last but not least,

A bro with a truck to come get the POS!

there is the reason I ride on the backroads The only highway I ride on is RT 8 Winsted to Torrington on very rare occasions. I've been on I-84 with my bike on the CT Miracle ride with over 1500 bikes so that wasn't bad for cars having issues seeing us I wouldn't ride 84 alone though considering my bike only has a 4spd and is really winding out doing 65-70mph

Do you have data to back that statement up there?

BTW I would have to agree with you on that.

That's all you need is a nice patch of sand or some a**hole flying through those backroads to do you in. Hell, a buddy of mine was hit by an old lady going the wrong way on a one way street. I say the more wheels the better.
