Default Best $60.00 I've ever spent!!

Everyone knows the 2nd Gen trucks tend to have loose steering, tend to wander, etc...

I did the 3rd Gen track bar conversion 4 years ago, made a noticable difference. New steering stabilizer (shock) two years ago. I just installed a DSS, it too has made a noticable difference.

None of these made a dent in the sloppy steering though, then I found this....

This picture shows the steering column on the engine side of the firewall with the new bushing installed.
Install took me 1 hour. Basically you remove the steering shaft from the column, then remove the spring retainer and spring, then remove the OEM bearing from the column. Install the new bushing and new retainer. Reinstall the shaft and enjoy steering that feels like a brand new truck!!!

I think toolman just ordered one of them too. Does the factory one wear out or what? and 60 for a little piece of nothin seems high, but as long as it works.......
